Softly Woven Framed & Fabulous Just Because Card

Greetings!

Today's card features the subtle linen texture from the Softly Woven 3D embossing folder for the background.  This wonderful texture evokes a feeling of warmth, perfect for heading into the fall season.  With the beautiful nighttime feeling of the Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper (DSP) print and a simple 'Just Because', this card is the perfect paper hug.

Techniques include dry embossing, die cutting and using a punch.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

When including die cuts like the ones on this card, I don't use the adhesive sheet on the back.  A couple small strips of adhesive or a couple mini glue dots near the base of the die cuts are enough to hold them in place. With the label layered over the bottom of the die cut pieces, they are held in place firmly. This allows most of the plant to float free on the card giving it a greater depth.  Also, when using an embossed background, the texture makes it a little more challenging to get good adhesion on these small pieces, so I save the adhesive sheet for using with flat layers.

Adhere Golden Glow embossed panel to folded card front.  Adhere DSP panel to lower area of embossed panel.

Using Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere label to card with left area overlapping stems of plant.
