Words & Wishes Big Sparkly Birthday Wishes Card

Greetings!

Today's card features the Words & Wishes stamp & die bundle.  This bundle meets the need for a set that has bold greetings, verses to capture the moments you want to celebrate and sweet images to enhance your card.  The new 2026-2028 In Color ® Printed Patterns Designer Series Papers (DSP) are an assortment of small and large dots & stripes prints perfect for background and layering options.

Techniques include two-step die cutting and heat embossing.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

Double layer die cuts like the ones for the words on this card can be a little tricky to get lined up.  Using adhesive sheets on the backs of the detailed words helps give them a little more heft and also makes it much easier to adhere them without having glue showing.

The challenge is getting them to hold their shape while you're applying them to the outline layer.  A way to get them to hold their shape is to keep them in the die after they are die cut.  Using the piercing tip end of the Take Your Pick Tool, poke at the backing paper on an end of a word, gently lift the paper while keeping the cardstock inside the die.  When all the backing paper is removed, gently turn the die over, line it up over the background layer, press down.  Using the piercing tip, gently press down on the cardstock through the little holes on the die to adhere the die cut word.  Lift off the die, press down firmly on cardstock word to fully adhere.

It may take a little practice, but once you've done it, you'll find it's a great way to have successful results every time.

Ink cake stamp with Versamark, stamp onto Calypso Coral cardstock.  Sprinkle with white embossing powder, shake off excess, melt with heat tool to set, die cut.

Adhere Birthday to upper left of card, Wishes in lower right, and cake in lower left with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Embellish with scattered Pearlized Faceted Circles in all colors and sizes.

Here's what the inside looks like:

Ink message with Crisp Cantaloupe, stamp inside.  Place candles side by side on block, ink and stamp at sides of message.

NOTE: For even more versatility, cut the "for you" stamp in between the two words, so you can use the "to" as part of a message.  I attached all four stamps onto one block and stamped the entire message at once.

Moonlit Flora Embossed Amazing Friend Card

Greetings!

Today's card features the nighttime vibes of the beautiful Moonlit Flora Suite Collection.  With the deep blue and black backgrounds, gorgeous ferns and greenery along with moths and flowers glowing in the moonlight, this is a stunning collection.  The aptly named new Golden Glow In-Color is the perfect color for the flowers and the sentiment amidst all the rich nighttime hues.

Techniques include embossing the DSP print for added visual depth, two-step die cutting and shading with Blender Pens.

==============================================================================

Beverly's Tip of the Day

Adding subtle shading to the moths on this card is easy with a Blender Pen.  Stamp the image, then use the Blender Pen to brush over the area you wish to shade slightly.  The Blender Pen will pull some of the ink from the stamped area so you can add slight shading in a small area adjacent.

I used this technique to lightly color in the body of the moth and the little dotted area along the bottom of the upper wings.
