Hey Birthday Chick birthday card

 Greetings!

Today's card is meant to bring a smile to your face.  The Birthday Chick stamp set has adorable, whimsical chickens and the Birthday Chick Dies bring it to the next level with accessories like the fence that this chicken is dancing on.

I knew I wanted the chicken dancing on the fence, and love this look of the diagonal pieces exposing a "ray" of the gingham checked paper from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (DSP).  Framing the white pieces with the Polished Pink cardstock, and carrying through the pink in her little bow and in the message gives this card a definite party vibe.

Who knew chickens could be so cute!

Butterfly Brilliance Through it Together

 Greetings!

Sometimes the easiest way to create a soft background is simply by doing a white on white. The Butterfly Brilliance Bundle is a great set to do this with.  This die set features butterflies in sizes ranging from very small (1/2" x 3/4") to quite large (3-1/2" x 2-1/2").  For this background I cut out the four smallest sizes multiple times and scattered them over the entire card front.

 Soft and Beautiful!

The Butterfly Brilliance stamp set has gorgeous detailed butterflies that pair perfectly with the dies.  The Through It Together stamp set features 21 different sentiments so you are sure to find just the right message for your card!

Gather your supplies:

  • Butterfly Brilliance bundle (Stamp set & dies purchased with Bundle item # saves 10%)
  • Through it Together stamp set

Ink 'Follow Your Dreams' with Pool Party and stamp near bottom of  2-1/4" x 2-3/4" cardstock piece.  Attached butterfly.  Apply 2-3 strips of Stampin' Seal To back of piece and attach Pale Papaya 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon.

Adhere completed butterfly layer to card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Use the Take Your Pick Tool to select sequins and adhere to front of card and butterfly.

Sunny Sentiments with You're a Peach papers split-cut fold

 Greetings!

When I saw the Sunny Sentiments stamp set I knew I had to have it!  This set features four fabulous messages in great fonts that are large enough to be the focal point of your card!  The first thing I did was pull out my Tasteful Labels dies and find the four that best frame each of the messages.  It's like they were made to go together as the sizes are perfect!

Look how beautiful these are!  The You're a Peach Designer Series Paper (DSP) provides a beautiful background for these sentiments and the cute little flower from the Sweet Strawberry Punch bundle is the perfect accessory! Here's a close-up of the Birthday card so you can see the detail better:

This split-cut paper fold is so fun and easy!

Here's How It's Made:

Using your Paper Trimmer, cut in 1" on long edge at 2-5/8" on the large piece of DSP.  Use bone folder to fold back at angle to outer edges.  Adhere 5-1/4" x 1-1/2" DSP strip to right hand side of card front.  Adhere folded DSP piece to card front.

Stamp sentiment on Basic White.  Position label die and run through Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.

Ink and stamp flowers.  Punch with Strawberry Builder punch.

Tie bow in ribbon and attach, using paddle end of Take Your Pick Tool  to release adhesive and slide approximately 1" of ribbon under DSP.  Press to adhere.  Repeat on opposite side.   Secure bow with mini glue dot

Adhere label with Stampin' Dimensionals and attach punched flowers with mini glue dots.  Adhere colored rhinestones to center of flowers.

NOTE: These instructions work for any of the four cards with the exception of the ribbon; the ribbon is not used on the two with the larger labels, and is simply a bow on the happy hello card.

There is a fifth stamp in the Sunny Sentiments set with a lovely message that works perfectly for the inside of the card.
