Greetings!
It is time for me to switch gears and start sharing some Christmas cards with you! I love this time of year. Even though I make cards all year long, I especially enjoy making cards to send to my friends and family for the Christmas season. It's my way of sharing a little extra joy and love with everyone.
Today's card is using prints from the Garden Walk Designer Series Papers (DSP). This packet of prints is a wonderful combination of florals and simple patterns in a variety of colors to take you through the entire year. The DSP packs always have so many beautiful prints that it's hard to choose just one or two, so I chose to do a diagonal panel across the card using four prints. The fun of these four prints is that it's the flip sides of two sheets. I love the efficiency of that, and it leaves the rest of the pack free so this same design can be used for cards for all kinds of occasions.
Aren't these prints gorgeous! I first tried placing them on a panel of Basic White cardstock and they just didn't seem quite right, so I pulled out the Lost Lagoon and love how they looked on it. It's a subtle color that doesn't take away from any of the colors in the prints. The Poppy Parade is such a bold red, and really helps emphasize the beautiful flowers on these prints, so it's the perfect choice for the card base.
The Christmas Classics bundle is filled with wonderful messages and individual words for you to combine to create your own messages with as well. When you scroll down through the instructions, you will see the message created with individual words for the inside of this card. The "tidings of comfort & joy" is the right size for this card, but the label die was much larger, so I cut it down to fit the message. It's an easy thing to do and if you haven't tried something like that yet, I give you clear instructions with photos, so you'll be able to replicate it. That's the magic of so many of these dies! There's always room to try something new 😊.
After getting the card assembled I always have to reach for some embellishments and the Blooming Pearls are perfect! These pearls are the embellishment included in the Garden Walk Suite Collection, so they are designed to coordinate with the Garden Walk Designer Series Papers. How cool is that!
Gather Your Supplies:

- card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2
- scrap for berries
- Lost Lagoon cardstock
- Mossy Meadow cardstock
- Basic White cardstock
- 2-1/2 x 2-1/2
- 5 x 3-3/4 for inside panel
- Garden Walk Designer Series Paper
- 6 x 1-1/4 large floral print on Garden Green background
- 6 x 1/4 scattered dots on Pretty Peacock print (flip side of above mentioned print)
- 6 x 3/4 small floral print on Garden Green background
- 6 x 1/2 diagonal stripe on Garden Green print (flip side of above mentioned print)

Here's How It's Made:
Ink "tidings of Comfort & Joy" with Pretty Peacock, stamp onto Basic White cardstock.
Position square die with angled corners along top edge of stamped sentiment, secure die with sticky-note, die cut.
Using same die, reposition along bottom edge of stamped sentiment, lining sides up with die cut sides, secure with sticky-note, die cut.
To create diagonal panel of prints, adhere the four cut 6" strips of Garden Walk DSP in this order:
Garden Green diagonal 1/2" strip, large floral print on Garden Green background, 1/4" scattered dots on Pretty Peacock print, small floral on Garden Green background print, leaving a small gap (1/16") between each print and at top and bottom of Lost Lagoon cardstock. I recommend using the Multipurpose Liquid glue for this step, as it gives you the ability for fine tuning placement of strips. It should look like this:
Position panel diagonally on Poppy Parade folded card front. Top left of panel and lower right of panel should be 1/2" from upper & lower edge of card front, extending over each side, as shown:
Adhere. Flip over and trim off excess even with card front.
Die cut Mossy Meadow cardstock with holly leaf cluster die. Die cut Poppy Parade cardstock with three-berry die. Adhere berries to holly leaves with mini glue dots. Tie Parakeet Party 1/8" ribbon into a bow, adhere at stem of holly leaves with a mini glue dot.
Position sentiment label 1/2" from left edge of card front along lower left part of diagonal panel, adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere holly leaf at bottom right of label with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Embellish with large and small Gold, Garden Green & Pretty Peacock Blooming Pearls.
Here's what the inside looks like:
Position stamps onto a Clear Block to spell "Happy Christmas wishes to you & yours". Ink with Pretty Peacock, stamp in upper part of Basic White cardstock panel. Ink holly leaves with Mossy Meadow, stamp in open area at left of message. Ink berries with Poppy Parade, stamp onto holly leaves. Repeat the stamping of the holly leaves and berries in the lower right corner of Basic White medium envelope.
