Flowers of Friendship sympathy card

 Greetings!

The Flowers of Friendship Bundle is one of the very first things I ordered from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.  Punch bundles are a great way to create a card full of dimension.  This punch has four elements to it - two flowers and two leaves!  This stamp set and punch combo provides a wonderful variety of creative options.

For today's card I'm also using the Color & Contour Bundle. Look how these gorgeous scalloped edged dies dress up this card!  Each die in this set has a unique detail to the scallop.



Handmade and Heartfelt

The new 2021-2023 In Color Jewels provide the perfect sparkle in the center of the flowers as well as a little extra bling in the lower left corner. 

Notice the variety of stamped and solid combinations creating the flowers inside and out.  



 With this beautiful message and some more stamped and punched flowers the inside is a beautiful extension of the outside.  The gorgeous Polished Pink 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon provides a soft touch to the inside. 

 Materials and measurements:

  • Stamps:
    • *Flowers of Friendship Bundle (Flowers of Friendship stamp set & Flowers & Leaves Punch)
    • *Color & Contour Bundle (Color & Contour stamp set & Scalloped Contours Dies)
  • Paper:
    • Mint Macaron card base - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2, scored and folded at 4-1/4, or 4-1/4 x 11, scored and folded at 5-1/2,   scraps for leaves
    • Very Vanilla  - 4 x 5-1/4 (2), 4-1/2 x 5-1/2 for flowers and sentiment
    • Soft Sea Foam - 3-1/2 x 4-3/4, scraps for leaves
    • Polished Pink - 1-1/2 x 5 
  • Ink:
    • Mint Macaron
    • Polished Pink

Assembly Tips & Techniques:
  • When stamping flowers, note direction of flowers on punch, and stamp accordingly. Cut stamped cardstock into strips to feed into punch.  This makes it much easier to punch without wasting cardstock. Punch out two large and one small flower from Polished Pink cardstock. 
  • Color petals of stamped flowers with Wink of Stella.  
  • Ink leaves with Mint Macaron and stamp onto Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam cardstock, noting direction of leaves on punch.  Line up and punch out.
  • Ink Flowers of Friendship plant stamp with Mint Macaron.  Stamp onto Soft Sea Foam cardstock. (flowers will be covered up with punched flowers)
  • Die cut Very Vanilla layer and Soft Sea Foam layer using Scalloped Contours Dies.
  • Stamp "Here for You now" in Mint Macaron on Very Vanilla.  Fussy cut around words and separate for front.  Ink "now" only for inside. Stamp.  Ink inside sentiment and stamp.
  • To attach ribbon on inside piece, run a strip of adhesive on backside, adhere end of ribbon, wrap around front, adhere in back.
  • Adhere sequins to center of flowers on card front.  Color in centers of inside flowers with Wink of Stella. 
  • Layer and adhere all pieces as shown in photos above.
