Sunflower Fields Thinking of You In Shades of Orange

Greetings!

Today's card features the Radiant Sunflower bundle and a print from the Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper (DSP).  Using an allover print and stamping over it gives the images shading without having to color anything in.  Note the depth achieved by this simple technique.  It's awesome!

Combining various shades of orange with the rich tones of Blackberry Bliss gives this card a rich fall vibe.  The suite collection may be called Sunflower Fields, but this color combo let's you know it can be used for more than just sunflowers.

Techniques include stamping on a DSP print, two step die cutting and coloring with Stampin' Blends.

This stamping technique was inspired by Dawn Olchefske.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

When the color embellishment you need is not readily available there is an easy way to modify that.  For this card, I wanted a little sparkle added and wanted it to be in the Blackberry Bliss color.  None of the current embellishments have anything in those tones, so I turned to the clear rhinestones and a Stampin' Blend.  Because Stampin' Blends are alcohol based markers, they will stain or dye embellishments so you can get the color you want (or something close).  I used the dark Blackberry Bliss writing tip and colored the rhinestones.  Because the markers are alcohol based, the ink dries very quickly and won't rub off.
