Christmas Crew Snowman Cheer Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the adorable snowman from the Christmas Crew bundle sending cheer amidst a wintry forest print from the Whispering Woods Designer Series Paper (DSP).  This pack of paper has gorgeous soft prints in hues of greens and blues and...for every pack of paper purchased, $3 is donated to organizations to help spread a little holiday cheer.  


Techniques include coloring with Stampin' Blends and Wink of Stella, and die cutting.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

Coloring with the Wink of Stella® Clear Glitter brush is a great way to bring your projects some subtle sparkle.  For the snowman on this card, it was the perfect way to add shading without adding color.  I simply brushed the Wink of Stella along the edges where the little detail marks are.  To carry the sparkle a step further, I also added the Wink of Stella along the hilly edges of the snow and a few added sweeps of the glitter brush to suggest dimension in the snow area of the DSP print.

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Christmas Crew bundle (Save 10% when you purchase stamp set & die with bundle item#)
  • Cloud Cover cardstock 
    • card base  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4, OR 11 x 4-1/4, scored and folded at 5-1/2 if you prefer the fold at the side instead of the top.
  • Basic White cardstock
    • 3 x 2-1/2 for snowman die cut
  • Whispering Woods Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    • 5-1/4 x 4 row of trees on snow print
  • Gray Granite Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Lost Lagoon Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Hydrangea Hue Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends Combo Pack
  • Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Combo Pack
  • Pecan Pie Stampin' Blends Combo Pack
  • Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Combo Pack
  • Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends Combo Pack
  • Wink of Stella® Clear Glitter Brush
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

Ink scattered dots stamp with Hydrangea Hue, stamp off twice, then stamp onto top of DSP panel.  Repeat multiple times to create look of snow along upper part of DSP.  Use Wink of Stella to create sparkling edges on snow portion of DSP.  Adhere DSP panel to folded card front.


Ink snowman with Gray Granite, stamp onto Basic White cardstock, die cut.  Ink message with Lost Lagoon, stamp in center of sign.

To color snowman as shown with Stampin' Blends:
  • Arms - Dk Smoky Slate
  • Top of hat - Lt Smoky Slate
  • Hat band - Dk Poppy Parade
  • Scarf - alternate Dk Poppy Parade and Lt Cherry Cobbler
  • Carrot nose - Dk Pumpkin Pie
  • Sign post & frame - Lt Pecan Pie

Adhere snowman to card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
