Winter Adventures Creative Celebrations Squirrel Winter Wishes Card

Greetings!

Today's card features a scene from the Creative Celebrations Designer Series Papers (DSP). This paper features Christmas- and winter-themed designs in a cheerful pastel palette of periwinkle blue, sage green, pastel pink, and bright red. The four sheets of precut designs make it easy to add quick accents and layered details, and the cut-apart pages give you gift tags and focal pieces for cards, scrapbooks, and paper crafts.

Find a scene you like, mat it, put it on a base panel, add a sentiment and you have a card ready to go with very little fuss.

The die cut tree and snowflakes from the Winter Adventures dies pair beautifully with scene. The little squirrel on this panel is perfect with the mittens and scarf, and what better message than Warm Winter Wishes for it!  So cute!

Techniques include die cutting and heat embossing for the sentiment.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

Detailed die cuts like these snowflakes and tree are so easy to assemble when adhesive sheets are attached.  Without the adhesive sheets the little fingers on the snowflakes could easily get bent or torn off.  The adhesive sheets come in 6 x 12 size, with score lines at 2 and 4 inches lengthwise.

I prefer to cut the adhesive sheet 1/8" - 1/4" smaller in both directions from the cardstock I'm attaching it to.  This eliminates adhesive on the edges that can transfer to the cutting plates when die cutting.
