Nature's Symphony Pastel Colors Easter Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Nature's Symphony dies, Choose Happy stamp set and Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper.

The botanical elements on this card provide visual interest with all the veining detail in the leaves and a texture reminiscent of handmade paper on the large branch.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

Choosing the adhesive is an important step in any project.  My go to for the large panels and pieces is always the Stampin' Seal, as it's easy to place strips at corners, along edges and a little in the middle.  When designing a card, rarely do I attach an adhesive sheet to a die cut until I decide if I like the element.  If I find it will work best with the adhesive sheet I recommend it for you.  For example, the leafy branch has large enough leaves to easily use either mini glue dots or dabs of multipurpose liquid glue so an adhesive sheet isn't necessary.  

For the ribbon, I most often use a mini glue dot (or two), as multipurpose liquid glue tends to soak into the ribbon and not adhere very well to the cardstock.

In general, having a couple adhesive options at the ready is a good choice when crafting.

And, let's not forget, adding dimension is always an option so Stampin' Dimensionals are never out of reach 😄

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Choose Happy stamp set
  • Nature's Symphony dies
  • Stylish Shapes dies
  • Basic Beige cardstock 
    • card base  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
  • Soft Sea Foam cardstock
    • 4 x 3  for leafy branch die cut
  • Natural Hues Textured Specialty Paper - lightest color
    • 4-1/4 x 3 for branch die cut 
  • Bubble Bath cardstock
    • 3-1/2 x 5/8 for dotted die detail 
  • Basic White cardstock
    • 2-1/2 x 1/2 
  • Fresh Freesia cardstock
    • 2-1/2 circle die cut
  • Mixed Up Patterns Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    • 5-1/4 x 4 yellow/white allover floral print
  • Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Fresh Freesia Classic Stampin' Pad
  • White 1/4" ribbon
  • Purple Fine Shimmer Gems
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere DSP panel to folded card front.

Die cut detailed leafy branch from Soft Sea Foam cardstock, die cut large branch from textured paper. 


Die cut 2-1/2 circle from Fresh Freesia, die cut dotted piece in center of Bubble Bath cardstock.


Adhere circle in lower center of card front, adhere textured branch die cut, adhere leafy branch die cut on top.


Adhere Bubble Bath strip, aligned at left edge of DSP, covering stems of dies.  Ink "happy" with Daffodil Delight, stamp onto Basic White cardstock on left half, ink "Easter" with Fresh Freesia, stamp to right of "Happy". Using Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere over lower right of Bubble Bath piece, with right edge aligning with right edge of DSP.


Tie White ribbon into bow, adhere angled at left of sentiment.

Embellish with Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.
