Reason To Celebrate St. Patrick's Day Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Reason To Celebrate stamp set and Branching Out dies.

Techniques include creating clovers using the small heart from the Bee Builder Punch, an embossed background and coloring techniques.

How perfect that the prominent color on today's card is Shy Shamrock! 😁

Beverly's Tip of the Day

An easy way to add mini glue dots to small items on your card is to place the item on the glue dot while it's still on the strip and removed it when you're ready to use it.  Whether it's a small piece of cardstock, a bow of ribbon or twine, or an embellishment, it makes the assembly process much smoother.  I've shown it here with the punched hearts ready for today's card.

Gather Your Supplies:

• Reason To Celebrate stamp set
• Branching Out dies
• Bee Builder punch
• Shy Shamrock cardstock 
• card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
• small piece for 10 punched hearts
• Shaded Spruce cardstock
• 4-1/4 x 3 die cut layer
• Basic White cardstock
• 4 x 2-1/2 die cut layer
• Shaded Spruce Classic Stampin' Pad
• Light Shy Shamrock Stampin' Blend
• Beautiful Pattern embossing folder
• White Baker's Twine
• Wink of Stella® Clear Glitter Brush
• mini glue dots
• Mini Stampin' Dimensionals
• Paper Trimmer
• Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

Emboss card front by inserting into Beautiful Patterns embossing folder at fold line.  You will need to run this through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine with the card base open and the hinge of the embossing folder at one side.

Color four of the punched hearts with Wink of Stella, set aside to dry.

Ink "Happy" and "St. Patrick's Day" with Shaded Spruce, stamp in upper part of Basic White die cut layer, adhere to Shaded Spruce die cut layer.

Adhere to folded card front, centering.

Color 5-6" of Baker's Twine with Light Shy Shamrock Stampin' Blend by running brush tip sideways along twine, and turning twine to completely saturate with color.  Allow to dry, then cut into 3 lengths between 1 and 2" each.

Adhere twine pieces with mini glue dots at one end, and space along lower part of Basic White layer.

Attach three hearts to two left "stems", making sure to cover the mini glue dot at the top of the stem, with point of heart at stem.  Position next heart adjacent to first one, matching tip, and add one more to create 3-leaf clovers.  Adhere four leaf clover with mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  Place first heart with side adjacent to stem, then align each heart adjacent with tips touching.
