Lovely Arrangements Sending Smiles Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Lovely Arrangements stamp & die bundle and papers from the Square Snippets Designer Series Papers (DSP).  The Square Snippets DSP is a fantastic collection of patterns and colors to take you through every season of the year.

This template is a great one for a nice large font sentiment like the "sending smiles", and a pair of DSP prints.  Because the print used above the sentiment is very subtle, I chose to add the flower and leaves to give a little more interest.  Had I chosen a print with more of a colorful pattern, it wouldn't have needed the extra elements added on.  

Remember, a basic template such as this can be your starting point and you can keep it very simple or add on elements and embellishments, whichever is more conducive to reflect your personal style.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

The new stamp packaging is great for storage, however, I miss having a printed piece inside the sleeve to show the stamps and how they're positioned.  At my team meeting recently, one of my stampin' sisters shared this idea, and I am sharing it with you.

Your stamp set is sandwiched in between two sheets of clear plastic.  One is quite firm and the other is very thin.  Remove the thin plastic sheet, ink all the stamps with a dark ink color, stamp onto a sheet of copy paper, cut to size, and adhere to the inside of the sleeve.  You now have an easy way to see all the stamped images at their full size, and make sure you have them all before you tuck it back inside the plastic envelope.


I had previously learned another tip, which is to trace the outline of the stamps on the bottom side of the thicker clear plastic sheet, so I have done that on this set as well.


This gives you an at-a-glance option to make sure you have all the stamps included in the set, and if you're like me, also have them placed correctly on the plastic to line up with the stamped images.

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Lovely Arrangements bundle (Save 10% when you purchase stamp set & die with bundle item#)
  • Basic White Thick cardstock 
    • card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
  • Pretty In Pink cardstock
    • 4-1/4 x 3
    • 2 x 2 for die cut flower
  • Old Olive cardstock
    • scrap for die cut leaves
  • Basic White cardstock
    • 4 x 2-3/4 
  • Square Snippets Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    • 5-1/4 x 4 diagonal blue lined grid print
    • 2 x 4 tone-on-tone Strawberry Slush print
  • Strawberry Slush Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Strawberry Slush 3/8 Faux Linen Ribbon
  • Strawberry Slush Flat Pearls
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere large DSP panel to folded card front.


Adhere remaining DSP panel to upper part of Basic White cardstock.  Ink message with Strawberry Slush, stamp at bottom right of DSP.  Wrap ribbon around panel, tie knot, position to cover lower edge of DSP.


Ink full flower stamp with Strawberry Slush, stamp onto Pretty In Pink cardstock, die cut.  Die cut Old Olive cardstock with 2-leaf die.


Adhere flower on upper left part of DSP panel, tuck stems of leaves under petals.  Adhere panel to Pretty In Pink cardstock, then adhere finished panel to card front, centering.


Embellish with Strawberry Slush Flat Pearls.
