Nature Walk Suite 2 for 1 Cards

Greetings!

Today's card features the Nature's Symphony stamp & die bundle along with the Nature Walk Designer Series Paper (DSP), all of which are part of the Nature Walk Suite Collection.

Today's post showcases two cards made from the same piece of DSP.  One card features the large die cut as the focal point on the card, and the other card features the negative space the die was cut from.  This creative use of the products from this suite collection is shown in the Jan-April 2026 mini catalog.  I love getting the most out of a DSP print, and this is a great way to quickly have two cards with one piece of DSP.

Techniques include collage stamping and using a spritzing technique for the background layer.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

Creating a unique layer is easy and fun using a Stampin' Spritzer.  Using a spritzer filled with isopropyl alcohol and a few drops of ink refill allow you to create customized looks for your cards.  Because isopropyl alcohol dries quickly, the individual droplets from the spritzer hold their shape, giving it a sharper look than using water would.  Start by adding just a few drops of ink into the alcohol, spritz to see color, add more until it's the color you want.  For this project, I filled the spritzer about half full of alcohol, then added 9-10 drops of Pecan Pie ink.

Practice first with a piece of cardstock, so you can see what distance to hold the spritzer from the paper to achieve the look you're going for.  Make sure to set the paper inside a cardboard box, or something with sides, so the spray doesn't splatter everywhere.  I held mine inside my stainless kitchen sink, and rinsed the sink as soon as I was finished spritzing.

The spritzer is reusable, so once you've finished with one color, simply rinse it out, and it's ready for your next creation.  Make sure to hold the sprayer in clear water and pump a few times to clear the tube and nozzle of the previous color.

Here's How It's Made:

Card #1:

With spritzer held 8-12" away from cardstock, spritz multiple times to randomly cover Basic Beige cardstock.  Lay flat to dry - or dry with Heat Tool on low setting)

Once cardstock is dry, ink lined texture stamp with Pecan Pie, stamp onto cardstock, repeat 4-5 more times, stamping in various directions.

Adhere adhesive sheet to reverse side of DSP, centering (This covers enough to back most of the die cut leafy branch and also allows for all the negative space directly around the die cut to be backed)

Die cut large leafy branch from DSP.

Adhere spritzed Basic Beige cardstock to folded card front, centering. Adhere DSP panel to card front, centering.  Adhere Mossy Meadow circle over stem area of die cut area.

Ink "to a great guy" with Old Olive, stamp onto Crumb Cake cardstock, adhere over circle with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Embellish with beige matte dots.

Card #2:

Ink lined texture stamp with Pecan Pie, stamp near upper left of folded card front, re-ink, stamp near left center, re-ink and stamp near lower right.  Ink small leafy branch stamp with Old Olive, stamp just left of center with leaves facing up, re-ink and stamp again with leaves facing down.

Adhere large die cut leafy branch so stem is at lower left.  Branches will cover over stamping on card front.  Adhere Old Olive cardstock strip below center left area.

Ink "you make me smile" with Old Olive, stamp onto circle, adhere over Old Olive cardstock with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Embellish with dark green matte dots.
