Wonderful Thoughts Pretty Florals Words of Support Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features a message from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set that sometimes is just what someone needs.  A soothing color palette of muted blues and greens continues the message of a quiet safe space.  This all comes together with a print from the Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper (DSP) and coordinating Pretty Florals stamp & die bundle.


Techniques include two step stamping and die cutting.

Where's the Cloud Cover stamp pad??

Sadly, the Cloud Cover ink color reacted with the material in the stamp pad, so the color was not consistent enough for Stampin' Up!'s quality requirements. 

To achieve an ink color similar to Cloud Cover, inking with Secret Sea and stamping the color off twice lightens it enough to closely resemble Cloud Cover.

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Pretty Florals bundle (Save 10% when you purchase stamp set & die with bundle item#)
  • Wonderful Thoughts stamp set
  • Spotlight on Nature dies
  • Cloud Cover cardstock 
    • card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
    • 3 x 2 for three flowers
  • Basic White cardstock
    • 2-3/4 circle
  • Soft Sea Foam cardstock
    • 3-1/4 circle
  • Old Olive cardstock
    • 2 x 1-1/2 stems die cut 
  • Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    • 4 x 4 dashes on dark blue print
  • Secret Sea Classic Stampin' Pad
  • 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls
  • Mini Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

Ink solid flower stamp with Secret Sea, stamp off twice, stamp onto Cloud Cover cardstock, repeat twice.  Ink outline flower stamp with Secret Sea, line up and stamp over flowers, repeat twice, die cut out the three flowers.  Die cut stems from Old Olive, adhere flowers to top of each stem using multipurpose liquid glue.


Ink message with Secret Sea, stamp onto Basic White die cut circle at center right, adhere to Soft Sea Foam circle.



Adhere DSP print to folded card base, centering, adhere circles slightly right of center, adhere flower cluster at left of sentiment with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  Note:  I cut small strips of dimensionals to put behind each of the three leaves


Embellish with Cloud Cover Flat Pearls.
