Prayers & Promises Gallery Blooms Sympathy Card

Greetings!

Today's card features the beautiful Prayers & Promises stamp set, which is filled with sentiments and messages offering sympathy and comfort in times of loss.  The flowers are from the Gallery Blooms stamp & die bundle.

Techniques include coloring with Stampin' Blends.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

When you stamp and die cut items, and don't end up using them on your current project, hang on to them.  The die cut flowers used on this card are some I've had in the case with the stamp set for almost a year!  I stamped and die cut them, and never used them on a project.  I've pulled them out many times, but they were never right for what I was creating at that time.

This morning, I had finished with another project using the Gallery Blooms stamp set, and I pulled them out. I had a piece of Cloud Cover cardstock laying on my crafting table.  I thought, these flowers would look beautiful in Cloud Cover, so I lightly colored them in.  Soft Sea Foam for the leaves and Lemon Lolly for the flower centers gives these pieces a wonderfully soft feel, perfect for a sympathy card.  Positioning them on opposite corners with a simple message in the middle allows them to be the star of the card.

Had a thrown them away, I may never have come up with this beautiful card.
