With You In Mind Florals In Bloom Birthday Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the With You In Mind stamp set.  This set has nice large greetings and simple images giving you a variety of options for creating your masterpiece.  The patterns from the Florals in Bloom Designer Series Papers (DSP) provide the perfect backdrop and inspired the color choices.


Techniques include fussy cutting and simple stamping.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

This card is labeled as simple stamping because it uses only inks and papers.  No dies, embossing folders, punches or coloring techniques are used.  The only thing that adds a bit of time is fussy cutting the flowers, but that's minor, as they are a simple design.  It's cute and ready to send even without the embellishments, but the embellishment simply adds a little something extra.  This card could be done with any color combination you wish depending on the prints you choose for your background and be just as adorable as this.  

This card would also work very well when gathering together with a friend who's new to stamping.  It's quick and easy to make, showcases basic stamping and an easy way to add a little something extra by cutting around the edge of the flowers.  It's a design that works for all ages and allows a new stamper to feel successful.

Gather Your Supplies:

  • With You In Mind stamp set
  • Strawberry Slush cardstock 
    • card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
  • Pretty In Pink cardstock
    • 4-1/4 x 1-3/4 
  • Basic White cardstock
    • scraps for three flowers
  • Florals In Bloom Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    • 5-1/4  x 4 (print 1) pinks & yellows on white
    • 5-1/4 x 2-3/4 (print 2) light pink +'s on dark pink
  • Strawberry Slush Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Pretty In Pink Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Darling Duckling Classic Stampin' Pad
  • 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Paper Trimmer

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere DSP print 1 to folded card base, centering.  Adhere DSP print 2 to print 1, slightly lower than center.


Ink "happy birthday" with Strawberry Slush, stamp onto Pretty In Pink cardstock.  Adhere to center of DSP print 2.

Stamp flower image onto Basic White three times; once each with Strawberry Slush,  Pretty In Pink and Darling Duckling.  Fussy cut around flowers.  Adhere two at upper left of Pretty In Pink and one at lower right with Stampin' Dimensionals.


Embellish center of flowers with mid-sized flat pearl in contrasting color.  Adhere small Strawberry Slush pearl to dot the "i" in birthday.
