Bee My Valentine Square Tri-fold Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Bee My Valentine stamp set and Bee Builder Punch.  The inside back panel is the new Hearts of Love 3D embossing folder from the Jan-Apr 2026 mini catalog.






Techniques include inking an embossing folder with a brayer, fun fold, and creating characters with a builder punch.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

This Bee Builder Punch is so versatile!  Besides the bee that you can create as the one I've shown here, you can also make it appear to be staying in place by placing wings on both sides, and the stinger at the bottom.  

With two sizes of hearts, you have hearts that can add a little love to any card you want.  I've used the body punch as a quote bubble with other stamps and I've cut the stinger part off to create a little fat oval shape for small messages as well.  Cluster 4 of the hearts together with points in center to create a four-leaf clover, or layer large and small hearts to create flowers.  If you haven't tried a builder punch yet, I encourage you to give this one a try.  It has so many options and an opportunity for you to expand your creativity.

This punch is great without the stamp set, but when you combine it with this adorable stamp set, you have a combination that will have you creating cute cards with a smile over and over again.

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Bee My Valentine stamp set
  • Bee Builder Punch
  • Strawberry Slush cardstock 
    • card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 2-1/2 and 6-3/4
  • Basic White cardstock
    • 4 x 4 for embossed panel
    • 4 x 3-3/4 for right inside
    • scraps for bee wings and antennae 
  • Pretty In Pink cardstock
    • scraps for 2 bee bodies
  • Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Strawberry Slush Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Pretty In Pink Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Hearts of Love 3D embossing folder
  • 2025-2027 In Color flat pearls
  • Real Red & White baker's twine
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Mini glue dots
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

To create bees, ink body stripe stamp with Strawberry Slush, stamp onto Pretty In Pink cardstock, punch out body.  Ink wings stamp with Pretty In Pink, stamp onto Basic White cardstock, punch.  Ink antennae with Cherry Cobbler, stamp onto Basic White cardstock, punch.  Ink face with Cherry Cobbler, stamp onto body.  Assemble wings and antennae onto body.  You need two bees for this card, assembled to face opposite directions.


Ink one half of brayer with Pretty In Pink by rolling brayer onto ink pad until well inked.  Ink other half of brayer with Strawberry Slush.  Roll brayer onto raised heart side of embossing folder to ink -  make sure to follow the same lines back and forth with the brayer so the colors stay true.  

Place 4 x 4 piece of cardstock onto non-inked side of embossing folder, carefully fold over inked side onto cardstock, pinch to hold in place, run through Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine to emboss, carefully removed cardstock from embossing folder.  NOTE: It's the debossed side that will be showing the inked hearts.


Score card base at 2-1/2 and 6-3/4 along long edge. Adhere panel to inside back of folded card base.  NOTE: left panel will fold in first, then right panel, so front of card is the full right panel.



With card base open and flat, ink flying trail stamp with Strawberry Slush,  stamp 1-1/2 up from bottom of card front at right fold, angling up.  Adhere bee with Stampin' Dimensionals with stinger at edge of flying trail.  Ink little hearts stamp with Strawberry Slush, stamp hearts above flying line and bee, re-inking before each stamping.  Ink "Happy Valentine's Day" with Cherry Cobbler, stamp below bee.


Ink "you'll always bee..." with Cherry Cobbler, stamp onto left front panel.



Ink "you make my heart buzz" with Pretty In Pink, stamp onto Basic White cardstock.  Adhere bee at lower left of message.  Ink "love you" with Strawberry Slush, stamp to right of bee.  Ink small hearts stamp with Strawberry Slush, stamp randomly around upper edges, re-inking before each stamping.  Adhere to inside right of card.



Tie baker's twine into a small bow, adhere to front bee with mini glue dot.  Embellish with large Strawberry Slush flat pearl.
