Glow of Harvest Delicate Whispers Thankful For You Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the shimmery Glow of Harvest Designer Series Papers (DSP) as the background for a simple message of gratitude.  With the fall season fast approaching, these papers are just the thing to use again and again for your fall cards or scrapbook pages.  The subtle shimmer on them is gorgeous, and the prints really do capture all the elements of fall.


This beautiful pack of paper is the current Product of the Month (POM).  The POM is available for purchase once your cart has reached $75 or more in product, then it's yours for only $5!  Once it's gone, it's gone, so don't wait.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

I often use a DSP print as inspiration for colors when designing a card.  Since this DSP is not part of any collection, it took me a little while to find a set of dies that I felt would compliment the images on the paper.  Having an assortment of dies with various images is advantageous to giving you a better chance of finding something that coordinates with the images on printed papers.  As with having an assortment of dies, messages are just as important.  To pull this all together took just the right message, and the Thankful For You from the Fern & Flora stamp set completes the fall theme.

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Fern & Flora stamp set
  • Delicate Whispers dies (Last Chance item, only available while supplies last)
  • Pecan Pie cardstock 
    • card base  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
    • 2-3/4 x 1-1/8
  • Basic White cardstock
    • 2-1/2 x 7/8
  • Early Espresso cardstock
    • 3 x 1-3/8
    • scraps for flowers
  • Crumb Cake cardstock
    • 2-3/4 x 2 for branch die cut w/adhesive sheet
  • Golden Glow cardstock
    • 1-1/4  x 3/4 for flowers
  • Glow of Harvest Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    • 5-1/4  x 4 scattered pumpkins print
  • Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Linen Thread
  • Mini Glue Dots
  • Adhesive sheets
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere DSP panel to folded card front.  Ink message with Early Espresso, stamp onto Basic White cardstock, adhere to Pecan Pie cardstock, adhere to Early Espresso cardstock.  Adhere to card front.  (I positioned the message label in a way to cover up the least amount of the pumpkins)


Die cut branch from Crumb Cake, larger flowers from Golden Glow, and small flowers from Early Espresso.  Adhere flowers together with mini glue dots.


Adhere flowers in upper left corner of message, branch along right and lower part of message.  Tie linen thread into bow, adhere at stems of branch.
