Glow of Harvest Pop-up Center Best Day Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the shimmery Glow of Harvest Designer Series Papers in a pop-up center fun fold card.  This beautiful pack of paper is the current Product of the Month (POM).  The POM is available once your cart has reached $75 or more in product, and then it's available for purchase for only $5!  Once it's gone, it's gone, so don't wait.  The sentiment is courtesy of the Cutest Crew stamp set.

Techniques include pop-up center fun fold, die cutting and fussy cutting.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

To get nice crisp edges and intricate cuts, the Detail Scissors are a must have.  With pointed tips, a shorter blade and comfortable handles, they make fussy cutting so much easier than trying to work with large shears, or shears with rounded edges.  Fussy cutting may not be your favorite thing to do, but it will be much more enjoyable with a good pair of sharp, easy to maneuver Detail Scissors.

Gather Your Supplies:

• Cutest Crew stamp set
• Nested Essentials dies
• Basic Beige cardstock 
• card base  5-1/2 x 4-1/4, scored and folded at 2-3/4 along long edge
• 4 x 1-3/4 for die cut
• 6 x 3/4, scored at 1-1/2, 2-3/4, 3-1/4 & 4-1/2
• 4 x 2 for back panel
• Cajun Craze cardstock
• 4-1/4 x 2-1/4(4)
• 4-1/2 x 2-1/4 for die cut
• Glow of Harvest Designer Series Paper (DSP)
• 4 x 2 (2) print 1
• 4 x 2 print 2
• fussy cut images
• Cajun Craze Classic Stampin' Pad
• Neutral Matte Dots
• Detail Scissors
• Paper Trimmer
• Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere DSP panels to Cajun Craze cardstock panels.  

Ink "have the best day" near top of Basic Beige 4 x 2 cardstock panel, adhere to Cajun Craze panel. Die cut Basic Beige 4x 1-3/4 cardstock with second smallest elongated hexagon die, ink "just a little hello" and stamp in center.  Die cut Cajun Craze 4-1/2 x 2-1/4 cardstock with second largest elongated hexagon die, adhere Basic Beige piece to center. 

 Adhere to matching DSP panels to front of Basic Beige cardstock panel, centered on either side of center score line.

Adhere remaining DSP panel and Basic Beige panel to back of card panel.

Adhere 1 end of pop up band to center front of card, with adhesive only from edge to first score line.

Fold over, apply adhesive to other edge of pop up band from edge to first score line, adhere to other side of card front, so edges of band meet in middle score line.

It should look like this from a top view:

Adhere elongated hexagon piece to front piece of pop up band (the little 1/2" flat center).

To embellish, fussy cut a plant out, adhere to right of message.  Adhere beige matte dots to left of message.

Here's what the finished back looks like:

Fussy cut a small sprig, adhere near bottom of panel.
