Mixed Up Patterns Lollipop Flower Pot Treat Holders

Greetings!

Today's project features an adorable little flower in a flower pot with a sweet note attached.  This little flower pot holds a small round lollipop with the lollipop stick as the stem for the leaves and flower.  So cute!  The message is created from the Crafted With Care stamp set, and the flowers, leaves and tag are from the Scalloped Blooms die set.

The flower pot is created with a couple folds and die from the 2nd largest elongated hexagon from the Nested Essentials dies.

Techniques include die cutting and creating a 3d project.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

The Scalloped Blooms dies are used for the flowers and leaves, and the great thing about these dies is that the dies cut two dots at one time, which are used for the flower centers, and 6 leaves at one time, so making multiples of this treat holder is easy.  Ingenious!

When die cutting Designer Series Papers, you can cut two layers at a time, which is what I did for the flowers.  Between the leaves, flowers and flower centers, this is quite a time saver when making multiples.

  • Old Olive cardstock
    • 2 x 1 for leaves die cuts
  • Mixed Up Patterns Designer Series Paper (DSP)

Here's How It's Made:

Score tone on tone DSP at 2, 2-1/2 & 3, fold at score lines to resemble a "w".  Place folded piece in die with folded edge above cutting edge of die, die cut.

Snip off top sides of die cut piece so top 1/2" is straight on both sides.  Score and fold Berry Burst cardstock strip at 1" and 3" to form band for top of flower pot.

Die cut 2 flowers from dotted DSP (layer together to cut both at once). Die cut circles from Berry Burst, leaves from Old Olive cardstock.

Double stack Stampin' Dimensionals near top edges of flower pot.  Apply mini glue dot near top of lollipop stick, adhere die cut flower with center attached.  Double stack Stampin' Dimensionals on opposite petals.

Bring other end of DSP die cut around lollipop, meet up edges and press onto Stampin' Dimensionals, creating flower pot.  Apply adhesive to Berry Burst strip, adhere at top of flower pot, wrapping around ends, and overlapping in back. Apply a mini glue dot to opposite side of stick, press 2nd flower with center attached so flower encases top of lollipop stick.  Cut Stampin' Dimensionals in half and stack 2-high for leaves, leaving enough space at one tip of leaf to adhere to stick, with mini glue dot. Press leaf onto stick, adhere 2nd leaf to other side.

Create message from words in Crafted With Care stamp set, stamp onto die cut tag with Berry Burst ink.  Punch hole at rounded edge top, thread Berry Burst ribbon through hole, wrap Bubble Bath ribbon around ends, tie into bow. Adhere tag to flower pot.
