Sweetly Sentimental Phrases & Frames Sending Hugs Card

Greetings!

Today's card features the beautiful flower from the Sweetly Sentimental stamp set.  To jazz up the beauty of this image, I gave it an Ombre' look by using multiple ink pads.  Whether you've stamped for years or are just beginning, this is an easy technique that gives you beautiful results.

Adding a few small banners of coordinating prints and a sweet little message completes the card without taking anything away from the main attraction.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

Achieving an Ombre' effect on an image is quick and easy.  Select your colors, begin by dragging the edge of the ink pad across a section of the stamp, switch to another color, ink another section of the stamp, switch to another color, ink remaining section of stamp.  Bring each color up to and slightly over the edge of the previous color so you don't have gaps between the colors.  Work from light to dark, so any overlap won't compromise your ink pad.
