Greetings!
Last week I had the opportunity to attend a demonstrator only event that I had earned. Our reward was an exclusive DSP which we got to make some adorable cards and a cute little gift bag with. I absolutely fell in love with the template of one of the cards, so have to share it with you! This card was demonstrated by Genevieve Ko, who is in Canada. I modified it slightly by adding a mat layer to each of the three strips.
What made me really love this template is that the strips are not all the same length. I didn't want to use the DSP we used during the event, as it's not available for purchase, so for today's card, I used the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (DSP). This layout will work with a number of prints, so pick your favorite pack of DSP and have fun!
Don't you love it! The colors in the Perennial Lavender DSP are just lovely, and the fun open leafed die from the Thoughtful Wishes dies is a great one to cut out of one of the more color filled DSP prints.
The original card I made the other night used different prints for the each of the three strips, but I opted to stick with the two prints that are primarily Crumb Cake and White, as they allow the die cut to show up better.
The Happy Little Things stamp set is a set that has a variety of words and short phrases in different fonts, so you can mix and match to create the message that works best for you. Since I used a small font sentiment on the outside, I decided to add a custom message on the inside with some of the other words from this set. - Highland Heather cardstock
- Basic White cardstock

Here's How It's Made:
Adhere Highland Heather cardstock panel to Gorgeous Grape folded card front. Adhere the three DSP prints to the three Basic White cardstock pieces to mat each of them. Adhere the three matted pieces to the card front, with the longest in the center, with the other two above and below. Here's how I placed them:
Die cut the floral print DSP with the large open leafed die. Peel the backing off, position vertically over the three DSP strips, adhere.
Ink sentiment with Gorgeous Grape, stamp onto Basic White cardstock, adhere to card front.
Embellish with Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.
Here's what the inside looks like:
Cut a 3-3/4 x 4 DSP panel to adhere inside.
Using Gorgeous Grape ink, stamp the words for your sentiment inside, cut them down close to the word for large ones, and leave a little extra on the small sentiment for balance. Adhere to DSP panel.
