Greetings!
I love a having a sketch to use for a card design. It gives a great starting point which can make it easier to decide what stamp set to use and what type of sentiment works in the space. After looking at the sentiment I wanted to use, I chose to flip the sketch and make it a landscape card.
I've been wanting to use the Pretty In Pink gingham print from the Lily Pond Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP) for a card, and this seemed the perfect time to use it for the three strips on this sketch. While the Lily Pond Lane DSP has many lovely patterns, nothing seemed right for the background behind the gingham, so I pulled out the patterns from the 2024-2026 In Color DSP assortment, and opted to use the cute little circle print for the background base.
Isn't it sweet! The sentiment from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set is quite small, so adding a strip of cardstock under it and including the little cluster of flowers filled the white space. This sketch design is nice and simple which allows for a lot of creative freedom. I could easily make cards using this sketch, different colors, dies and stamp sets, and have cards for all kinds of occasions without any two looking exactly alike.
I hope this sketch inspires you to grab your supplies and have some fun!
