Country Flowers Packaging Tape Technique Friendship Card

Greetings!

My friend Anita recently gave me a card that is truly a masterpiece!  It featured the die cut motorcycle from the Legendary Ride dies, and parts of the motorcycle had a very unique shiny look to them.  When asked what cardstock she had used, she explained that it was covered with clear packaging tape before she die cut the pieces.  It was such a polished look that I had to try it!  And, by the way, I will never give that card away.  It should be framed and put on my wall!

Now my challenge was, what could I use to add packaging tape to for a unique look.  I chose the Country Flowers bundle; by covering the little pail with packaging tape it gives it a ceramic look.  I love the effect and know I will be finding more ways to cover items with packaging tape and die cut them or fussy cut them as an added feature on a card.

Isn't it a great look!

This bundle is filled with so many great images and sweet sentiments.  I was able to purchase this bundle early to use at our annual Stampin' Up! convention back in March.  We had three options to choose from and my thinking was I would choose the one I liked the least as it would help me expand my creativity.  Ha! Funny how that works!  I absolutely love this bundle, and adding the Country Woods Designer Series Papers (DSP) which are all part of the Country Woods Suite Collection, I know I will be finding ways to use this set all year long!  By switching out the colors of the bouquets and the containers I can see this taking me right into the fall holidays with some adorable cards!  Stay tuned! 😄

I invite you to always look at the possibilities of how you can use a stamp set for many occasions.  That's the beauty of creativity, right?  We can see what others have done, and take what we like from those ideas, then add in our own.  For the bouquet colors on this card, I chose colors that are listed on the DSP pack.  If you're a birdhouse lover, make sure and check out the other bundle that is part of this suite collection as well.  It is so adorable!
