Nature's Prints and Fresh As a Daisy DSP Thank You Card

Greetings!

Today's card is using stamp sets, dies and papers that will be retiring shortly and they deserve another chance in the spotlight.

I can't say enough good things about the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack.  These papers have such a wonderful selection of color combinations and beautiful prints.  This pack includes a couple sheets that are individualized prints in various sizes giving an even wider variety of prints to choose from.  The background panel on today's card uses one of those panels along with a smaller piece of a dry-brushed print look that are available in a few colors in the paper pack.  They create a lovely textured background for the stamped and die cut pieces layered on them.  These are from the Nature's Prints stamp set and coordinating Natural Prints dies.  It all comes together beautifully with the addition of a strip of Crushed Curry cardstock, Gold & Vanilla ribbon and a simple "Thank You".

One of my favorite die sets introduced this past year is the Nested Essentials dies.  They offer four sizes of three shapes and I reach for them again and again.  The great news is they are staying around for at least another year, so I know I have a great fallback when I want something more than a simple rectangular piece of cardstock for my greeting.   

Having a good die set to give your greetings as well as a way to frame your focal point is a definite benefit. If you don't have a die set yet for this purpose, I highly recommend the Nested Essentials dies and the Stylish Shapes dies.  These two die sets provide a wonderful variety of sizes and shapes to elevate your card making experience.

• card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2    OR    5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
• Very Vanilla cardstock
• 4 x 3
• 2 x 1-1/2
• Crushed Curry cardstock
• 4 x 3/4
• 2-1/2 x 2 for die cuts
• Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper 
• 5-1/4 x 4 Wild Wheat scattered leaves on Pretty Peacock background
• 4 x 2-1/2 Wild Wheat dry brush print
• Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin' Pad

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere DSP panel to Wild Wheat folded card base.  Adhere Wild Wheat DSP to front, approximately 1" up from bottom edge.

Ink branch stamp with Coastal Cabana, then ink Sponge Dauber with Pretty Peacock, daub onto center of branch and at edges of a few leaves.  Stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock.  Die cut branch with coordinating die.  Die cut two small twigs from Crushed Curry cardstock.

Adhere large branch on left half of Wild Wheat dry brushed DSP.  Adhere small die cut twigs with one behind stamped branch at right, and one on top of branch on left.  Adhere Crushed Curry cardstock 1/2" from bottom of dry brushed DSP to cover stems of branches.  Wrap Gold & Vanilla ribbon around entire card front, centering on Crushed Curry cardstock strip, tie into knot, with knot near left edge.

Ink Sponge Dauber with Pretty Peacock, daub only the "thank you" part of the stamp, stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock.  Die cut with smallest Nested Essentials rectangle die.  Adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals over ribbon.  Embellish with Pool Party and Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots.
