Do you find dots and circles seem to evoke a feeling of being carefree and happy? Yep! Me too! Add in the color yellow and that happiness is brightened exponentially. I know, that's a lot of armchair psychology in the first couple sentences. 😂😆
The Hope You Know stamp set is a beautiful collection of messages and sentiments spoken from the heart, and one of those messages says "you are the sunshine that brightens so many of my days". With a message like that I simply had to add dots and circles in shades of yellow to add lots of sunshine and happy to go with the message. Here's how it all came together:
The Stylish Shapes dies have a generous number of circles in sizes making it easy to mix and match to create the feel you're looking for. I was trying to figure out what color cardstock to use for the background, or if it should be a print, when I spied the Crushed Curry dots on white print from the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Papers (DSP) pack and knew it was perfect! This pack of papers is filled with a wide variety of prints and colors for all kinds of tastes. It's a double sized assortment; 48 12" x12" sheets, four each of 12 double sided designs. Wow! It's going away with the retirement of the current catalog period, so get them before they're gone.
Gather Your Supplies:
- Hope You Know stamp set
- Stylish Shapes dies
- Basic White Thick cardstock
- card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2 OR 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
- Crushed Curry cardstock
- Daffodil Delight cardstock
- Lemon Lolly cardstock
- Basic White cardstock
- Crumb Cake cardstock

- 5-1/4 x 4 Crushed Curry dots on white print
- Pecan Pie Classic Stampin' Pad
- Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots

Here's How It's Made:
Adhere Crushed Curry dots on white DSP print panel to Basic White Thick folded card base front.
Die cut Daffodil Delight(1-3/4), Basic White(2-1/8), Crushed Curry(1-1/4) and Lemon Lolly(2-1/8) cardstock with Stylish Shapes Circle dies.
Ink "You are the sunshine..." with Pecan Pie, stamp onto Crumb Cake cardstock 1/4"-1/2" from top edge, leaving approximately 1" of blank cardstock below message.
Position die cut circles and message as shown. Adhere three larger circles to DSP panel, then adhere message and Crushed Curry circle with Stampin' Dimensionals.
After assembling this, I decided it needed one more circle, so die cut the smallest (7/8") Stylish Shapes circle die from the scrap of Basic White cardstock. Adhere at upper left edge of Lemon Lolly cardstock circle.
Embellish with Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots.
