Cheerful Daisies Friendship Shaker Card

 Greetings!

It's been awhile since I've made a shaker card.  They are so fun and have a serious wow factor!  It's like having a little toy to play with on the front of the card.

I was perusing the Stampin' Up! demonstrator site and ran across a shaker card sample that inspired this card.  The sample on the site showcased product not available yet so I had to look through my inventory and see what would work.  Since loose items are needed for the shaker part,  the Loose Daisy embellishments and the Loose Frosted Dots were the two I had on hand to use.  Going with a daisy theme, I pulled the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Cheerful Daisies Bundle.  I don't know that I would have ever thought to pair Copper Clay with Tahitian Tide, but it works.

Isn't it fun!  Had I not seen the sample I would never have thought of extending the print outside the shaker area.  Details such as that really take a design to the next level! To give the background a little more texture, the dry brushed DSP print is embossed with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder.  The leaves behind the sentiment daisy are cut from the flip side of the daisy print, making it an efficient way to use the DSP scraps that are left after fussy cutting out the flowers that extend beyond the shaker square.

A few of the products on this card are going away soon.  The Tahitian Tide color, as well as the Loose Daisy Embellishments and the Fresh As A Daisy DSP are only around through the end of the current catalog period, which ends May 1st, while supplies last.  They are all currently still available at the time of this post, so get them before they're gone so you can have fun making adorable cards like this 😁to wow your family and friends.  The Cheerful Daisies bundle is continuing forward for another year, however, the 10% discount bundle price is only in effect through May 1st as well.  After that, the stamp set and dies will be sold individually at full price.

Here's How It's Made:

Emboss Copper Clay dry brushed DSP panel with Painted Texture 3D embossing folder.  Adhere to Copper Clay folded card base front.  Cut a 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 square from daisies on Copper Clay DSP print, adhere to embossed DSP panel.  Fussy cut a couple daisies or partial daisies with leaves, adhere to upper and lower edges of DSP like this:

Adhere Foam Adhesive strips around all four edges of DSP square, making sure to not leave gaps between edges of strips.

Die cut Tahitian Tide cardstock with largest square Stylish Shapes die, then center next largest square in cardstock square and die cut.  This will leave you with a square frame.  Apply Multipurpose Liquid glue to backside of frame, adhere Window Sheet.

Select several Pretty Peacock and Daffodil Delight Loose Frosted Dots and put inside foam strips square.  Pour some Loose Daisy Embellishments into square.  Carefully remove protective paper from top of Foam Adhesive Strips and press framed window sheet firmly onto adhesive.

Ink detailed single small daisy stamp with Lemon Lolly, stamp onto Basic White cardstock.  Ink "your friendship means everything" with Daffodil Delight, stamp on top of Lemon Lolly daisy.  Die cut with coordinating daisy die cut.  From scraps of daisies on Copper Clay DSP print, die cut two leaves from reverse side.  Adhere leaves to backside of daisy/greeting.

Adhere daisy greeting to top of framed shaker on lower right corner.
