Greetings!
Today's card is CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) from the Jan-April 2024 mini catalog. Not only do I love the sample in the catalog but it is also a great way to get the creative juices flowing when you love a stamp set or idea but aren't quite sure where to start. I love the catalogs for just this reason. It's a wonderful jumping off point.
I fell in love with the
Quiet Reflection stamp set right away. With it's beautiful reflective images so ingeniously designed to really capture a natural feel and some of the best messages for notes of comfort, this set is a winner! When I saw this sample in the catalog pairing it with the
Notes of Nature dies and the
Let's Go Fishing Designer Series Papers (DSP) I knew I had to make it. As with any design I see, I always make some slight modifications and this one is no exception.
I added a bit of color onto the die cut leaf clusters by rubbing some Wild Wheat ink onto the cardstock with a Small Blending Brush. I wanted a little more color to the leaf cluster so die cut in two different colors and ended up using them both. The card sample in the catalog is on plain Very Vanilla cardstock, but I love the subtlety of the map print in the Let's Go Fishing DSP pack so I stamped the image on it. The Brushed Brass Butterflies bring a little more nature into the whole scene and are the perfect color with this palette.
This is the beauty of creativity! It's meant to inspire you to want to make something of your own. I provide the details of how I made a card and I hope you take whatever details and ideas you are inspired with and go from there. And if you make it just as I did, then I am flattered 😁
