Greetings!
I love sketch challenges! When I saw this sketch I immediately pulled out the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Papers (DSP) to use for the panel layers.
The papers are beautiful! Having a collection of prints with all the shades of purples on Crumb Cake backgrounds instead of white really is stunning. This Perennial Lavender Suite Collection includes laser cut Paper Butterflies, Purple Fine Shimmer Gems in three hues, to coordinate with the papers and accent the Painted Lavender and Perennial Postage bundles that complete this suite collection.
Aren't they lovely!
Now that I had the prints chosen I was ready to make the card.
The print is beautiful with all the sprigs of lavender, the greenery and other wildflowers. I love the ways that Stampin' Up!'s products work together and when I looked at the beautiful sprigs of lavender I immediately thought of the Elegant Eucalyptus 3D embossing folder. The eucalyptus sprigs are very similar in shape and add a lovely texture layer to compliment the gorgeous print.
Add a simple message and this card is ready to brighten someone's day.
Gather Your Supplies:
- Perennial Postage Bundle (Save 10% when you purchase stamp set & die with bundle item#)
- Crumb Cake cardstock
- card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2 OR 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
- 5-1/4 x 4
- Highland Heather cardstock
- 1-3/4 circle
- Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper
- 4 x 3 meadow print
- 3-3/4 x 3-1/4 Gorgeous Grape tone on tone print
- Gorgeous Grape Classic Stampin' Pad
- Paper Butterfly

Here's How It's Made:
NOTE: The Eucalyptus embossing folder is a narrow folder, so to cover the entire background panel, you need to emboss twice. Here are the steps:
Step 1: insert 1" of one long edge of Crumb Cake cardstock panel into embossing folder. Place folder and cardstock crossways on plate to run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine.
Step 2: Flip Crumb Cake cardstock around and insert into embossing folder, lining up eucalyptus sprigs at outside edges. Emboss.
Adhere embossed panel to Crumb Cake folded card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Adhere meadow DSP print to Gorgeous Grape tone on tone print. Ink "You're simply Marvelous" with Gorgeous Grape, stamp onto 1-3/4" Highland Heather punched circle.
Adhere assembled DSP panel to card front, centering.
Adhere Highland Heather circle below center extending off left edge of DSP print.
Add small Paper Butterfly above sentiment on circle. Embellish with Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.
