When Stampin' Up! decided to put the Bee Mine Suite Collection in the very beginning of the Jan-April mini catalog they knew exactly what they were doing. This collection is adorable! The stamp set has multiple facial options so your bees can have a wonderful variety of expressions. The design of the Bee Builder Punch is ingenious! It has the little bee body - stinger included - and two hearts. The stamp set is designed so the wings and the antenna stamps are the perfect size to fit inside the two hearts of the punch making it very to create your bees and have a great heart punch as well.
The Bee Mine Designer Series Papers (DSP) are full of adorable prints showing the bees amidst flowers, buzzing around with smiles on their faces, holding flowers, as well as wonderful patterns in stripes, plaids and more. With a palette of beautiful springtime colors it's the perfect combination for Valentine's cards, messages of love, and the promise of Spring.
How cute are they! See what I mean about the adorable facial expressions. And there's even more to choose from besides these two. Love it! The adhesive-backed Hearts & Flowers embellishments are just wonderful with their glossy finish and beautiful colors. I put a little flower inside the stamped flower on the left, attached a little heart inside the flower on the right, and the heart on the farthest right above the bees is also one of the embellishments. They are very low-profile so they will mail easily. I always love the stamp set & punch bundles for the ease and affordability of them and this one really knocks it out of the park! It's a wonderful set for gathering together with the young people in your life and making Valentine's cards. It's so easy with a punch and simple images to stamp and create great cards for all ages.

- card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2 OR 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
- scraps for two bees
- Basic White cardstock
- 5 x 3-1/2 panel
- 5 x 3-3/4 for inside panel
- scraps for bees wings and antenna

Here's How It's Made:
Ink striped body stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamp onto Daffodil Delight cardstock. Punch. Repeat and punch second bee body. Ink wings stamp with Balmy Blue, stamp off once, stamp onto Basic White cardstock. Punch out with large heart punch. Clean stamp. Ink wings stamp with Petal Pink, stamp off once, stamp onto Basic White cardstock. Punch. Ink antenna with Tuxedo Black, stamp onto Basic White cardstock. Punch out with small heart punch. Repeat.
Make sure to have one bee facing each direction. Choose facial expression stamps, ink with Tuxedo Black, stamp onto each Daffodil Delight bee body. To give bee rosy cheeks, color small dots with Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blend brush tip.
Attach wings and antenna with mini glue dots.
Ink flight trail stamp with Daffodil Delight, stamp in center of Basic White cardstock panel (5 x 3-1/2 panel). Ink "you make my heart buzz" with Sweet Sorbet, stamp below flight trail. Ink small single heart stamp and 3-hearts stamp with Sweet Sorbet, stamp above flight trail, near top edge of cardstock. NOTE: I positioned the bees on the panel without attaching them to decide where to stamp, then removed the bees.
Insert top two corners of Basic White stamped cardstock panel into diagonal corner of Very Best Trio Punch, Punch.
Ink both leafy stems with Lemon Lime Twist, stamp off edge so just two or three leaves are on the Basic White cardstock, positioning so they will be under each bee. Ink both flowers with Daffodil Delight, stamp one flower on top of each leafy stem.
Adhere bees with
Stampin' Dimensionals so they are facing each other at opposite ends of flight trail, above flowers.
Adhere plaid DSP print to Daffodil Delight folded card front. Adhere Basic White panel to plaid DSP layer.
Embellish with adhesive-backed Hearts & Flowers.
Here's what the inside looks like:
Ink "I love you no matter what" with Daffodil Delight, stamp in upper center of Basic White cardstock panel. Ink leafy stems with Lemon Lime Twist, stamp near lower edge of panel. Ink flowers with Daffodil Delight and stamp. Adhere plaid DSP strip to cover bottoms of finished stamped flowers.
