Nature's Sweetness Notes of Nature Thanks Card

 Greetings!

This past weekend I had the opportunity to get together with a few of the demonstrators on my team and stamp.  These times are so treasured!  The biggest challenge is figuring out what to bring to have an assortment of inks, papers, stamp sets and tools to create with without bringing way too much.  It's tough!  To limit the supplies I start with a couple packs of Designer Series Papers(DSP), stamps that coordinate with or will work well with those papers, and the cardstock and ink colors listed on the paper packs.  I then add a couple basic die sets, such as the Stylish Shapes dies, maybe a punch or two, and of course plenty of Basic White and Very Vanilla cardstock for layers and card bases.

For today's card, I used the Blender Pens for my coloring technique as well as adding a little extra shimmer with the Wink of Stella® Clear Glitter Brush.  Blender Pens are the perfect way to bring in an option for coloring without adding more bulk to your traveling inventory.

Everything used on this card with the exception of the Copper Clay adhesive-backed Solid Gems and Stylish Shapes dies are from the Nature's Sweetness Suite Collection.  I used the Notes of Nature Bundle from this suite for the stamped images as well as the leafy die cuts.  That's the beauty of these Suite Collections.  Everything is designed to coordinate so wonderfully, like the way the grid stamp emulates the DSP grid style print.

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere ledger print DSP panel to Very Vanilla cardstock panel, centering, then adhere to Pecan Pie folded card front.

Ink partial grid stamp with Petal Pink, stamp onto remaining Very Vanilla cardstock panel.  Re-ink and stamp again a couple more times on panel, near or extending over edges and at different orientations to create background.  Here's what mine looks like:

Ink only the word "thanks" from the "thanks for making me smile" stamp with Copper Clay, stamp at bottom right edge.  Adhere panel to card base, centering.

Ink small flower stamp with Copper Clay, stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock. To color in flower using Blender Pens*, first color center of flower and large bud with Calypso Coral, then color outside edges with Petal Pink.  Finish with a light brushing of Wink of Stella to add shimmer to the flower and buds. Die cut.

*For coloring with Blender Pens, squeeze closed ink pad at center to transfer some ink from the pad to inside of lid.  Open ink pad, dip tip of Blender Pen into ink.  Once tip is inked, brush a couple swipes onto scratch paper or grid paper to see if it's the intensity you want for coloring.  Color on stamped image from center out, trying not to grab too much of the ink from the stamped image itself as this will blur the lines and blend the stamped outline ink color as well.

Die cut Stylish Shapes 2-1/8" circle from Petal Pink cardstock, and 1-1/4" circle from Copper Clay cardstock.  Die cut large multi branch leaf die from Pecan Pie and small single branch leaf die from Copper Clay.  Place multi branch leaf die on Petal Pink circle with stem under Copper Clay circle die at lower right.

Adhere circles onto Very Vanilla cardstock layer.  Adhere flower on Copper Clay circle with Stampin' Dimensionals, tuck single stem die cut under flower extending up.

Embellish with Copper Clay adhesive-backed Solid Gems.

Here's what the inside looks like:

Cut a Very Vanilla cardstock panel 5 x 3-3/4.  Ink grid stamp with Petal Pink and stamp a couple times on Very Vanilla.

Ink entire "thanks for making me smile" stamp with Copper Clay, stamp onto Petal Pink cardstock, die cut 1-3/4" Stylish Shapes circle.  Die cut small leafy stem in Pecan Pie cardstock, adhere to circle and adhere to inside card panel.
