Flowering Tulips in Poppy Parade and Calypso Coral

 Greetings!

Have you fallen in love with the Flowering Tulips bundle yet?  This bundle has almost limitless possibilities for the combinations of colors and layers you can use to create your flowers.  Even though it's called Flowering Tulips, the card I created today really reminds me more of Poppies than it does Tulips.  My color inspiration came from the Flowering Fields Designer Series Papers (DSP) which are designed to coordinate with this bundle.

Aren't they lovely!  They pop right off the card in these vibrant hues of corals and reds.  Layering the blooms, stems and leaves is so easy with dies to cut them out so you can arrange them for a simple, pleasing bouquet.  The Stitched Rectangle dies provide a subtle extra touch with the stitching around the edges.

My favorite thing about Stampin' Up! is the coordination of all the products.  I never have to wonder if... do the inks match the cardstock, do the embellishments match the inks and papers,  or is the quality of what I'm using consistent?  The answer is always yes!   Not only am I a demonstrator but I am a great customer also, and that is why.  I am never overwhelmed with buying too much only to get it home and find out it doesn't go with what I already have.  The amount of time, frustration and guessing I have saved over the years is priceless!  The fact that I get to share my passion and my creativity with you is an added bonus, so thank you so much for being here.  Now, back to my card...

It all comes together and with the addition of a simple "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY" at the bottom, I have a great card already to send to my mom or my sister to let them know how awesome they are!  I love being prepared!

Have you been wanting to add a die cut and emboss machine to your crafting, but have been resisting because of the investment?  This is the perfect month for you!  The Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine is on sale for 20% through March 31st, so today is the last day to take advantage of this awesome price!  It's only $48 now, and the Tulips dies all work in the Mini!  You will love how much your creativity expands by the addition of die cuts and embossing!  See the link below for all the details. It's a great way to take your paper crafting to the next level!

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere Flowering Fields DSP print to Poppy Parade card base.

Die cut the Calypso Coral and Basic White cardstock pieces with Stitched Rectangle dies.  Adhere them together.  Set aside.

Ink open bloom stamp with less detailed center with Calypso Coral and stamp onto Basic White cardstock.  Ink more detailed open bloom stamp with Poppy Parade and stamp on top of Calypso Coral, lining up petal edges.  Ink small center stamp with Basic Gray and stamp in center of flower.  Repeat all steps twice.  Die cut the three flowers.

Ink stems and leaves stamps with Pear Pizzazz, stamp and die cut so you have a total of 3 stems and 3 leaves.  Position all onto Stitched Rectangle Basic White layer and adhere.  Cut off leaves and stems at bottom stitched edge of Basic White rectangle.  Wrap White Faux Linen ribbon around all layers and tie in a knot, trimming ends to desired length.  Adhere finished panel to card front.

Ink sentiment with Poppy Parade and stamp below Calypso Coral stitched rectangle.

Embellish with Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The Take Your Pick Tool makes attaching small pieces easy and precise.  Use the Putty Tip for easy grabbing and placement of small embellishments.

Here's what the inside looks like:

I chose a sentiment from the Season's Blessings stamp set for the inside.

Ink sentiment with Poppy Parade and stamp onto a piece of Basic White cardstock measuring 4-1/4 x 3-1/4.  Adhere to inside of card and adhere a 3/4 x 3-1/4  DSP print near bottom edge.
