Stone & Vine Delicate Foliage Thank You Card

Greetings!

Today's card features the Stone & Vine embossing folder which creates a stunning base for a small cluster of die cut foliage and a sweet thank you message on an elongated hexagon die cut.  The Nature Walk Designer Series Paper (DSP) print provides the perfect color variation for the embossed background.

Techniques include embossing and die cutting.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

Using embossing folders with a DSP print brings out extra detail to the embossed image.  Because the center of the paper is white, some of the white inner layer is exposed at the edges of the raised image.  To highlight the edges even more, you can also use a fine grit sandpaper or a crafting sanding block to rub off a little more of the surface layer.

When attaching an embossed DSP layer I recommend using liquid glue.  The paper is softened from the embossing and I've found that using the Stampin' Seal will often tear the top layer of paper.  This is also true with cardstock.  The other option is to use Tear & Tape adhesive.

Here's How It's Made:

Emboss DSP panel, attach to folded card front.  NOTE: Because of the embossing, which softens the paper, I recommend using the multipurpose liquid glue to adhere to your card front.

Die cut multi-stemmed plant from Very Vanilla, needle-leaf plant from Old Olive, and 2 curved top plants from Pretty Peacock cardstocks.

Arrange on left side of card front, adhere using multipurpose liquid glue.

Ink sentiment with Lost Lagoon, stamp onto Basic Beige cardstock, die cut with 2nd smallest elongated hexagon die.

Adhere label to card front, at bottom of foliage, with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Tie two strands of Baker's Twine to create double bow.  Adhere to upper left of label at bottom of foliage.

Embellish with Natural Matte Dots.
