Stamping with the Stars #379 Sale-a-bration Inspiration; Friendly Hello

Greetings!

Sale-a-bration is such a fun time of year!  The holidays are behind us and nature is taking a nap, so it's the perfect time to stay indoors, craft, and get a few new items as well as some FREE goodies!  Yay for Sale-a-bration!  Every year Stampin' Up! comes up with fabulous new products that are available for this limited time.

Choosing which Sale-a-bration set to work with for today's blog hop was easy.  The Friendly Hello bundle is an ingenious combination!  This bundle features a stamp set and Designer Series Paper combination filled with lovely images in spring colors, and is FREE with a $100 purchase.   The stamps are designed to fit certain images printed on the papers, so you can customize them as you wish!   How cool is that!

Here's the paper prior to stamping on it:

And here's the paper stamped and made into a card:

The layout is already done for you.  Notice how the stamped image outlines the details of the flowers on the printed paper, giving them more definition.  The leafy branch and single leaf stamps give added dimension to the images surrounding the flowers.

I chose to carry the splattered background look through to the Basic White layer behind by using the Water Painters to splatter ink onto the cardstock.

For the finishing touch, the new Faux Sea Glass Shapes are the perfect accent as their shapes mimic the splatters in the printed paper.

Here's How It's Made:
Die cut Basic White cardstock with 5-1/8 x 3-3/4 Stitched Rectangle die.  Die cut green/white floral print paper with 2-1/8 x 4 Stitched Rectangle die.  NOTE: If you cut out the image from the paper carefully, you can get 7 or 8 of these pieces out of 1 sheet of 12 x 12 paper. I placed the rectangle die over the image, and used the Paper Trimmer to carefully cut the image out, noticing where the placement of the adjacent image was, and adjusting accordingly to get as many out of the sheet as possible.
Press Bermuda Bay ink pad and Granny Apple Green ink pad onto clear blocks to transfer ink to the block.  Using medium tipped Water Painter, get brush very wet, brush onto ink color, and flick brush tip to splatter onto Basic White rectangle.  Rinse excess ink from brush, repeat with other ink color to achieve desired look.  Allow to dry.
Ink "hello" from Sentimental Swirls stamp set with Bermuda Bay,  stamp near lower right edge of Basic White rectangle.  Ink tiny branch with Granny Apple Green, stamp right of "hello".  Adhere to  card base front.
Ink flowers stamp with Bermuda Bay, line up to white flowers on printed paper, stamp.  Ink small 3-bud stamp with Bermuda Bay, stamp onto small bud image on print.  Ink large solid leaf with Granny Apple Green, stamp leaf near white leaves.  Re-ink and repeat twice.  Ink leafy branch stamp with Granny Apple Green and stamp over the leafy cluster on print.  Adhere onto Bermuda Bay cardstock piece, then adhere to card base,  positioning 1/4 in from left and top edge of Basic White rectangle.
Adhere Faux Sea Glass shapes.
