The beautiful Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper which is one of the FREE items you can earn during Sale-a-bration (Jan4-Feb 28, 2022) is definitely a favorite! These papers are in such a gorgeous variety of colors paired with Very Vanilla, which brings a soft touch to the prints.
I love using strips of different prints and patterns together for a background behind a sentiment, and the nice looong Happy Birthday from the Slim Sayings stamp set is fantastic! And how cute is that font! I love the lower case a's with all caps - it gives it a soft touch. Combining all the beautiful patterns from the papers was fun, however, I wanted to add some texture too!
The Animal Print embossing folder provides a great texture, and the Shimmer Vellum as well as the gorgeous new White 3/4" Frayed ribbon help make the greeting pop. The vellum of course has shimmer as indicated in the name and the bonus surprise is that the frayed ribbon, which is incredibly soft, also has a little shimmer to it.
This card feels like a party all by itself😊 Sweet colors, fun prints and patterns, and texture galore to stimulate the senses! Add your personalized birthday wishes on the inside, and you have given someone a real treat for their birthday!

Here's How It's Made:
Emboss Very Vanilla cardstock panel with Animal Print embossing folder. Adhere embossed panel to Calypso Coral cardstock card base.
Adhere 4 strips of Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper prints to embossed layer, offsetting each strip so they are various angles and heights.
Pull string of White 3/4" Frayed ribbon ends to fringe it. Adhere to card front just above center. I used two strips of Stampin' Seal on the ribbon to make sure it holds securely to the card. Adhere strip of Pale Papaya Shimmer Vellum, with approximately 1/4" of top edge overlapping ribbon. Again, I used two strips of Stampin' Seal - one on top where it adheres to ribbon, and another for adhering to cardstock. I pressed both ribbon and vellum firmly to get a strong adhesion.
Ink "happy birthday" stamp with Calypso Coral and stamp onto Very Vanilla strip. Position on Shimmer Vellum area that is overlapping ribbon. Adhere with 3-4 Stampin' Dimensionals, pressing firmly.
Embellish Designer Series Paper strips with Artistry Blooms sequins.
The Take Your Pick Tool makes attaching small pieces easy and precise. Use the mini spatula tip for picking up adhesive-backed sequins and placing them right where you want them.
Here's what the inside looks like:
Cut a 5 x 3-3/4 panel of
Very Vanilla cardstock to adhere to inside of card.
Cut a 5 x 1/2 strip of Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper print to adhere to bottom edge of Very Vanilla panel.
