Sunflower Fields Hello Friend Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the beautiful warm, fall hues of rusts, browns and deep ambers sure to warm the heart of those near and dear.  With the ease of punching each piece to create the background as well as the piece for the greeting, this is a wonderful way to showcase a gorgeous variety of prints for an eye catching card.

Techniques include using a punch.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

This Rounded Rectangle Punch is such a fabulous punch!  With a piece size of 2-1/8 x 1-1/2", it is extremely versatile.  The rounded edges give a welcome softness to the pieces, and the size allows so many of the messages and greetings to fit inside the space.  

Punches are a handy tool!  They are quick to use, allow you to easily see exactly where you want to punch and give you clean crisp edges.  It's also easy to adjust the size of the finished piece by inserting punched piece a second time and positioning to create a smaller piece in one or both directions.

Gather Your Supplies:

• Radiant Sunflower stamp set
• Rounded Rectangle Punch
• Pecan Pie cardstock 
• card base  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
• Very Vanilla cardstock
• 5 x 3-3/4 panel
• 2-1/4 x  1-1/2 for punched label
• Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper (DSP)
• 6 punched pieces of assortment
• Cajun Craze Classic Stampin' Pad
• Very Vanilla Baker's Twine
• Adhesive-backed Metallic Gems
• Stampin' Dimensionals
• Paper Trimmer

Here's How It's Made:

Arrange punched DSP pieces along top and bottom edges of Very Vanilla cardstock panel.  Trim off excess at ends.

Ink greeting, stamp onto Very Vanilla punched piece.  Adhere to DSP punched piece, leaving approx. 1/2" exposed.

Adhere Very Vanilla panel to folded card front.  Adhere greeting label to center of card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Tie Baker's twine into bow, adhere at upper left of DSP label.  Embellish with copper colored metallic gems.
