Perennial Postage Crafted With Care Happy Mail Card

Greetings!

Today's card features the Crafted With Care stamp set & Perennial Postage dies on the Forever Plaid embossed background for a sweet little card ready to brighten someone's day.

Techniques include two step stamping, die cutting and embossing.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

To get the cancelled post look on this card was a fun experiment.  The image is part of the Perennial Postage dies and would normally be used as an embossed image.  However, I wanted to use the die as a stamp and had to figure out how to get a nice image onto the cardstock.  Here's how I did it.

I used a magnet from the Stampin' Positioner to hold the die so I could press it onto the ink pad.  The design of these magnets with the tab on the end makes them a perfect tool for this technique.  By using the magnet I could easily pick it up off the ink pad without getting my fingers full of ink, then put it onto the piece of cardstock, press down firmly, lift off, and voila'!  If it doesn't stamp perfectly, that's okay, because rarely is the cancelled stamp on an envelope a solid image.
