Fern & Flora Golden Glow Embossed Friendship Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Fern & Flora stamp & die bundle, 3D embossing folder and prints from the Moonlit Flora Designer Series Papers (DSP).  This collection of products features stunning prints in the DSP pack and beautiful ferns to die cut as well as the lovely collection of ferns featured in the embossing folder.  The creative possibilities are many for cards as well as scrapbook pages, or a beautiful framed scene to decorate your space.

Techniques include die cutting and embossing.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

If your goal is to make many cards using the same layout, but each one looking slightly different, a layout like this card is perfect.  Using two prints in smaller pieces like this, layered, then with a simple die cut and message, you can make 12 cards (or more) from two sheets of DSP!  Adding an embossed background in white gives added texture without taking anything away from the colors in the prints.  Next time you're feeling challenged with what to make for a card think of this layout, grab your DSP and your favorite embossing folder, add a simple label and you will have a card you'll love in minutes.

Gather Your Supplies:

• Fern & Flora bundle (Save 10% when you purchase stamp set & die with bundle item#)
• Fern & Flora 3D embossing folder
• Basic White Thick cardstock 
• card base  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
• Mossy Meadow
• 4 x 1-1/2 for fern die cut
• Basic White cardstock
• 5-1/4 x 4 panel - embossed
• 2-1/2 x 1-3/4 for die cut label and moth die cut
• Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper (DSP)
• 5 x 1-1/2 print with Golden Glow flowers
• 4-1/2 x 2 Golden Glow patterned print
• Golden Glow Classic Stampin' Pad
• Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad
• Linen thread
• Stampin' Dimensionals
• Multipurpose liquid glue
• Paper Trimmer
• Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere Basic White embossed panel to folded card front.  Adhere long DSP strip to center of center of shorter/wider DSP strip, extending on top & bottom.  Adhere to card front left of center.

Die cut fern from Mossy Meadow cardstock.  Ink frame and sentiment with Golden Glow, stamp sentiment in center of frame, die cut.

Adhere fern on left side of DSP strips, angling off left edge. (I didn't use or recommend an adhesive sheet on the back of the fern because of the layers and texture it's over.  In this case, a few dots of liquid glue on various leaves is all that's needed).  Adhere label near bottom of fern with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Ink small moth stamp with Smoky Slate, stamp onto Basic White cardstock, die cut.  Adhere in upper right area of DSP.  Tie Linen thread into bow, adhere at upper left corner of label.
