Homemade Sweetness Thinking of You Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features prints from the Homemade Sweetness Designer Series Papers (DSP) and a message from the Phrases & Frames stamp set.  This card has a variety of products to create the simple, sweet look; the flower is from the Garden Gatherings die set and the stamped frame comes from the Exciting Times stamp & punch bundle.  I don't usually use products from so many sets to create a card, but these all paired together beautifully so I stepped outside the box 😄


Techniques include two-step die cutting and using a punch.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

Having embellishments for accents on projects is always a great addition.  Sometimes however, you don't have the right color or the one you want is out of stock at the moment.  There are always ways to work around that.

One easy way is to use a Stampin' Blend and color a clear, light or white colored embellishment the color you want it to be.  In the case of this flower, you could also save the little dot from the middle and press it onto an ink pad to get the color you want, or punch a small circle out of a cardstock scrap.  To give it a little shimmer, you can use a Wink of Stella® glitter brush or one of the new Shimmer Brushes.  There's always a way to get creative and add a little accent to your project!

    • card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2   
  • Misty Moonlight cardstock
    • 4 x 1/2

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere flower print DSP to top of folded card front, and gingham print at bottom, leaving a gap in the middle.  Adhere Misty Moonlight cardstock strip over gap and adhere Golden Glow cardstock strip on center of Misty Moonlight strip.


Ink Exciting Times frame with Misty Moonlight, stamp onto Basic White cardstock, center in punch, punch. (Save outer frame to use for another project)  Ink sentiment with Golden Glow, stamp in center of label.  Die cut Garden Gatherings flower from Basic White cardstock, leafy stem from Granny Apple Green cardstock.


Adhere leafy stem angled above cardstock strip.  Adhere flower over top leaf with mini glue dot. Adhere label over stem and Misty Moonlight strip with Stampin' Dimensionals.


 Embellish flower center with small Golden Glow dot.
