Regal Flora and Happiest Day Thinking of You Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Regal Flora stamp set in Cherry Cobbler and Berry Burst, along with shades of gray, on a Pool Party background.  I love challenging myself to use new color combinations and the result is beautiful!


Isn't it lovely!  The moment I saw the Regal Flora dies, I knew I had to have them for the shape of the label.  I don't know what it is about rounded corners, but they get me every time!  My original idea was to use muted tones with the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper (DSP) background print, but it was too boring and cool feeling, so the Berry Burst and Cherry Cobbler give it a lovely pop of color, just like cranberries on a frosty pine tree.

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Happiest Day stamp set
  • Basic White Thick cardstock 
    • card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2    OR    5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
  • Smoky Slate cardstock
    • 2 x 1/2
  • Basic White cardstock
    • 3-1/2 x 2
    • scrap for small flower
  • Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper 
    • 5-1/4 x 4 Pool Party print with diamonds and dots
    • 3-3/4 x 1 scattered dots on Gray Granite with adhesive sheet
  • Berry Burst Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Adhesive sheet - 3-3/4 x 1
  • Gray Granite Baker's Twine - 32"
  • Regal Foiled adhesive-backed Dots
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

Wrap Baker's Twine around DSP panel three times, tie bow, position at right. Adhere DSP panel to Basic White Thick folded card front, centering.

Die cut label from Basic White cardstock. Ink leaf stamp with Berry Burst, stamp in upper half of label with stems in center, re-ink and stamp in lower half of label with stems in center.  Ink small flower stamp with Cherry Cobbler, stamp onto Basic White, die cut.  Die cut dotted gray DSP with long floral swag die.


Adhere label to card front with Stampin' Dimensionals, 1/4" from left side and 3/4" from top of DSP panel.  Peel backing from die cut floral swag, adhere over stamped leaves diagonally.  Adhere small flower die cut at left side of label with Stampin' Dimensionals.  


Ink sentiment with Berry Burst, stamp onto Smoky Slate cardstock, adhere to label, with right edge  extending over Baker's Twine.  Embellish with Regal Foiled adhesive-backed Gems.
