Autumn Leaves and Wild Wheat Regal Winter DSP Card

Greetings!

Today's card was inspired from a Mystery Card Challenge from our team meeting.  We are given the dimensions of the pieces we are to cut, a suggestion of a sentiment or stamp, and then we are given the instructions for assembly verbally during our zoom meeting.  At no time during this process do we see the card that the template is from until we are finished assembling it.  It's an interesting way to make a card, and I have to admit, it's sometimes difficult to know what stamp set, dies, papers and cardstock to use.  I'm very visual, so making something with no visual reference is a bit daunting.  I have to admit, I almost always love the finished result, and this one is a favorite for sure!

For this card I opted to use the Wild Wheat prints from the Regal Winter Designer Series Papers (DSP).  I wanted to give it a warm feel, so I used Very Vanilla for the panel and sentiment, and pulled the Pebbled Path and Gray Granite cardstocks for the mat layers and stamping.  These colors may look a bit odd together by themselves, but with the gorgeous floral print it pulls it all together beautifully.

Isn't it lovely!  I love using DSP prints on my cards, whether for a background, accent or focal point, and the Regal Winter DSP prints are so rich and beautiful!  The Very Vanilla cardstock gives Wild Wheat a bit of softness and warmth and makes it easier to blend all these colors together.

I've become a huge fan of the adhesive-backed Textured Dots.  They are so versatile, with a nice low profile, so they are ideal for embellishing and will easily make it through the mailing process without poking through the envelope.  They are kind of an oil rubbed bronze color, but it's amazing how many different color combinations they work with.  If you haven't given them a try yet, I encourage you to add them to your cart.  You'll find a variety of ways to use them, and with the low profile and small diameters, they add a nice subtle touch to your projects.
