Quiet Meadow Fresh As a Daisy Thinking of You in White Craft Ink

Greetings!

This past week I had my mom with me for a few days and we almost always make time to do some stamping together.  One of the sets she really loves is the Quiet Meadow stamp set so it made the choice of which stamp set to work with an easy one.  I love the versatility of this set as well as the beautiful sentiments it includes.  The flowering plant stamp is the perfect size as a focal point and I decided to stamp it using the White Craft Ink.  It's been awhile since I've used this ink and I love it for the subtlety it gives to an image; a chalky look.

When deciding which color to stamp onto I knew I wanted to select a somewhat darker cardstock to showcase the white stamp.  After choosing Misty Moonlight cardstock for a nice contrast I opted for the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Papers (DSP) for the background layers.   These papers have a wonderful variety of colors and even though daisies are a bit out of season this time of year, the Wild Wheat and Boho Blue prints bring the lovely colors of fall into full bloom.

If White Craft Ink is new to you, I encourage you to give it a try!  It's beautiful just like it's stamped on this card to give a subtle, chalky look to an image.  Craft ink is a pigment ink, so it takes awhile to dry as it is much creamier than the watercolor inks.  Craft ink is easy to use for heat embossing because you simply have to sprinkle the embossing powder onto the stamped image and heat set it.  No Versamark is necessary.  White Craft Ink is also a great option for stamping an image and then coloring it in with the Watercolor Pencils for a soft look to your card.  These are just a few of the ways you can expand your creativity by adding White Craft Ink to your product selection.

Here's How It's Made:

Ink flowering plant stamp with *White Craft Ink, stamp onto Misty Moonlight cardstock panel.

*Craft ink is very creamy and takes time to dry, so set aside to dry or use low setting on Heat Tool or hair dryer to dry ink.

Apply adhesive to back left and right sections of Misty Moonlight stamped panel, position the light blue dots on Boho Blue DSP pieces so they extend about 1/4" above and below the panel, extending 1/2" out the sides.  Adhere to Wild Wheat watercolor wash panel.

Apply adhesive to back side of Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon, adhere across layers below leaves of plant, with left side wrapped around back of Wild Wheat DSP panel.  Cut angle at right end of ribbon. Adhere assembled layers to Misty Moonlight folded card front, centering.

Ink "Thinking of You" with Misty Moonlight, stamp onto small Wild Wheat DSP piece.  Adhere using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, (place the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals along the lower part of the greeting label allowing the top half to rest on the ribbon)  with top part overlapping Wild Wheat ribbon, aligning right edge with right edge of Misty Moonlight cardstock panel.

Embellish with small, medium and large Wild Wheat In Color Dots.

Here's what the inside looks like:

Ink "Heartfelt love..." with Misty Moonlight and stamp in upper center of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Ink flowering plant stamp with Misty Moonlight, stamp off twice, stamp upper flower part of stamp in lower left corner.
