Greetings!
Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays. Part of the reason is because it is not so commercialized and also because it's about being thankful. Fall is also my favorite time of year and the colors associated with Thanksgiving are the colors of fall.
When the new catalogs are released, the first thing I look for is a nice set for Thanksgiving, and I have to say I was disappointed to not find any sets that had an actual "Happy Thanksgiving" greeting in them. A few days ago the thought popped into my head that I could create a Happy Thanksgiving greeting with the Biggest Wish stamp set for the "happy" and the "thanks" and then add on the "giving" with the Alphabet Al a Mode dies, and that's exactly what I did! It works perfectly since each word has a different size and font. The All About Autumn Designer Series Papers (DSP) provide perfect prints as the backdrop.
Isn't it beautiful! I made quite a few of these, not only from this print, but from some of the other fall tree and leaf scenery prints from this set of DSP. Many of the other prints are framed with Early Espresso on a Petal Pink card base, but I wanted to use this color combination for my blog today.
Gather Your Supplies:
- Biggest Wish stamp set
- Alphabet Al a Mode dies
- Very Vanilla Thick cardstock
- card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2 OR 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
- Lost Lagoon cardstock
- Pretty Peacock cardstock
- All About Autumn Designer Series Paper
- Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin' Pad
- VersaMark Ink Pad
- Clear Embossing Powder

Here's How It's Made:
Adhere Lost Lagoon cardstock onto Very Vanilla Thick folded card front, centering.
Ink "THANKS" with VersaMark™, then ink with Pretty Peacock, stamp onto lower left of pumpkin print DSP, sprinkle with Clear Embossing Powder, shake off excess, heat with Heat Tool to set. Ink "happy" with VersaMark™, then ink with Pretty Peacock, stamp above "THANKS", sprinkle with Clear Embossing Powder, shake off excess, heat with Heat Tool to set.
Adhere pumpkin print DSP panel to Lost Lagoon cardstock panel on card front.
Adhere *Adhesive Sheet to Pretty Peacock cardstock, cut out all the letters for the word "Giving". Carefully peel backing from each letter and adhere to right of "THANKS".
If you haven't tried the Adhesive Sheets yet, I strongly encourage it for detailed die cuts. It can sometimes be a bit tricky to grab an edge and pull off the protective backing, but it's so worth it to have a die cut that solidly adheres to your card without the mess of sticky fingers and shiny glue spots that can show when using liquid glue. The Adhesive Sheets come in 12 x 6 sheets, and are scored every 2" on the 6" width, so it makes it easy to cut small pieces from the sheet and use only what is needed. Love them!
Embellish with small and large Neutrals adhesive-backed Sequins.
