Joy of Christmas Brightest Glow Wishes All Around Layered Wreath Card

Greetings!

I knew the first time I saw the Wishes All Around stamp set and dies that it would definitely be a set I wanted to use for Christmas cards this year.  Wreaths are a classic and always great on a card, but the fun of having a wreath of trees or snowflakes sets this one apart from what's usually offered.  With that being said, today's card features the more classic wreath style of leaves and berries, however, you have fun options with the Wishes All Around dies.

The papers in the Joy Of Christmas Designer Series Papers (DSP) offer wonderful options to create your wreath layers in something other than solid cardstock colors.  I settled on the red twigs and berries print paired with the scattered leaves in greens print which gives the wreath a lot of color variation. These die cuts are easiest to work with when you apply the Adhesive Sheets to the backside of the papers before die cutting them.

I die cut the wreaths in opposite directions, meaning with the print up and one with the print down, so they are in opposite orientations.  The addition of a few single berry branches in Sweet Sorbet brings more color to the wreath and the Cherry Cobbler Festive Pearls are the perfect color and size to highlight the berries.

Even though there are multiple layers to this card it doesn't feel thick and heavy because most of the pieces, including the little strip under the sentiment, are cut from the Joy Of Christmas DSP prints.

The Deckled Circles dies have just the right sizes to provide a great base for the wreath and give it a little more substance.  These dies are awesome!  There are a total of 14 circles in this set so you have options for any size you need!  If you haven't taken a good look at them yet, I encourage you to check them out.

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere plaid DSP print to Shaded Spruce folded card front.

Die cut Basic White cardstock with 3-1/4 deckled circle with 1-3/4 deckled circle centered inside to create wreath base.

Adhere Adhesive Sheets to backside of red berry DSP print and scattered leaves in greens DSP print.  Die cut red berries with print side up, and die cut scattered leaves from Adhesive Sheet side up.  This will give you the two wreaths facing opposite directions.  Peel backing off and adhere scattered leaves wreath to Basic White die cut wreath base.  Peel backing off and adhere berry wreath on top.

Peel backing from Sweet Sorbet die cut berry branches, adhere onto wreath, spacing evenly.  Adhere to upper center of card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Ink "HAPPY HOLIDAYS" with Shaded Spruce, stamp onto Basic White cardstock.  Adhere to Shaded Spruce DSP with lower half overlapping, and both pieces aligning to right edge of plaid DSP.

Embellish berry branches with Cherry Cobbler Festive Pearls.

Tie Sweet Sorbet striped Baker's Twine into a bow, adhere to wreath with a mini glue dot.

Here's what the inside looks like:

Ink "Hoping your Christmas..." with Shaded Spruce, stamp in upper center of Basic White cardstock panel.

Adhere to inside of card.  Adhere plaid DSP strip near bottom of Basic White cardstock panel.
