Christmas Classics Winter Meadow Peace On Earth

 Greetings!

I get so excited this time of year with all the lovely stamp sets, dies, embossing folders and gorgeous, did I mention Gorgeous!! papers that are available for making cards.  It's so hard to pick and choose which ones to use, because they're all beautiful and card worthy.

The minute I saw the Winter Meadow Designer Series Papers (DSP) I knew it would be one of my selections.  The beautiful wintery soft colors that are shades of blues, grays, teals and plums give the paper a lovely wintery feel without being in the traditional Christmas colors category.  It lends itself to many of the stamp sets available as a beautiful accent.  The samples shown in the Sept - Dec 2023 mini catalog showcase this paper beautifully, and while I loved the samples, I only bought the papers, so I had to find a different bundle (stamp set and dies) that would work well with these papers.

The Christmas Classics bundle features fantastic holiday images, wonderful sentiments and words you can put together to build your own messages.  I love it for its versatility.  Pairing it with the Winter Meadow DSP was easy, and using inspiration from samples in the catalog, here is the card I came up with.  

Isn't it lovely!  There is such a peaceful feel to the card and it feels like a glimpse into a winter wonderland.  The message of Peace on Earth is always a sincere wish and even more so this year.  Whether sent as a Christmas card or simply as a card to give someone this time of year, it represents the winter season very well.

Gather Your Supplies:

• Misty Moonlight cardstock 
• card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2    OR    5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
• Basic White cardstock
• 2-1/4 x 2-1/4
• scraps for stamped pine boughs and die cut holly leaves
• Garden Green  cardstock
• 2-1/2 x 2
• Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper 
• 5-1/4 x 4 pine boughs and branches on white/gray background
• 2-3/4 x 2-3/4  misty moonlight watercolored print (backside of above print)
• Blueberry Bushel Classic Stampin' Pad
• Festive Pearls green or silver
• Adhesive sheets

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere pine boughs/branches DSP panel to folded Misty Moonlight card front.

Ink pine bough stamp with Blueberry Bushel, stamp twice onto Basic White cardstock, without re-inking in between stampings.  Die cut.  Die cut two holly leaves from Basic White cardstock.  

Adhere Adhesive Sheet to Garden Green cardstock.  Die cut two open leaf branches.  

Ink "Peace on Earth" and stamp onto Basic White cardstock, centering.  Die cut with Stylish Shapes 2-1/8 circle die.  Die cut Misty Moonlight DSP with 2-5/8 circle die.

Adhere Misty Moonlight die cut circle left of center on card front.  

Apply adhesive to back of "Peace on Earth" circle, attach  pine boughs, holly leaves and open leaf Garden Green die cuts to back of circle.  Adhere to lower right of Misty Moonlight die cut circle with Stampin' Dimensionals. 

Embellish with green and silver Festive Pearls.
