Greetings!
There are so many occasions to make a card for and I always have plenty on hand for most of those occasions. One of the ones that I found myself recently lacking in are cards for sympathy when someone experiences a loss. For some reason those are the ones I have a hard time making.
My last blog post mentioned the creative challenges I participate in with sister demonstrators and the card I'm sharing today is another one of those challenges. This one is a specific layout. It's an easy template and after a little deliberation on what to use I opted for the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP) and a message of comfort from the Hope You Know stamp set. The Hope You Know stamp set is one I purchased specifically because of the beautiful messages it contains, especially the one that is perfect when a sympathy card is needed. This layout is so easy that I know I will be making more cards like this to have on hand so I'm not scrambling at the last minute when I need one.
Adding the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder texture to the background panel helps to soften the straight lines of the other pieces and adds a gorgeous layer to the card. Copper Clay is quickly becoming one of my new favorite colors for fall and having Jute twine and Speckled Dots in the same color really helps solidify that color choice.
As I mentioned earlier the message of comfort to go with the sentiment on the front is perfect and makes it easy to add a quick personalized signature so it's ready to give to someone in need of comfort.
