Peaceful Pier Thinking of You Fun Fold Card

 Greetings! 

Today's card features the beautiful message and trees image from the Peaceful Pier stamp set stamped on a wood plank print from the Country Woods Designer Series Papers (DSP), giving the card a rustic look.



Techniques include a center panel tent card fun fold, stamping directly onto DSP and a pleated ribbon edge.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

To adhere small loose embellishments like the Gold Shaker Stars to your card where you want them, place them out first, then move them slightly, dispense a dab of liquid glue onto your paper and set star onto glue dab, press down lightly with Take Your Pick piercing tip. 

The other option is to place small dots of glue onto Silicon Mat, place stars onto glue, allow to dry (the glue remains tacky) then pick them up and place them onto your card.

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Peaceful Pier stamp set
  • Secret Sea cardstock 
    • card base panel 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 
    • 1-1/4 x 1/8 strip 
  • Gray Granite cardstock
    • 8-1/2 x 3-1/4 scored and folded at 4-1/4
  • Basic Beige cardstock
    • 1-3/4 x 1-1/4
  • Country Woods Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    • 4-1/8 x 3-1/8 white/beige wood plank print 
  • Florals In Bloom Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    • 4-1/8 x 1 (2) dashes on blue print
  • Secret Sea Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Cloud Cover 3/8" Ribbon 
  • Gold Shaker Stars
  • Tear & Tape adhesive
  • Multipurpose liquid glue
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Take Your Pick tool

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere dashes on blue DSP pieces to outside edges of Secret Sea base panel, leaving a scant 1/16" border at outer edges.


Ink trees stamp with Secret Sea, stamp near bottom of wood plank DSP print (make sure to leave room at upper right for message.  Ink message with Secret Sea, stamp onto Basic Beige cardstock, adhere at upper right of DSP panel.  Adhere small strip of Secret Sea cardstock at top of message with Multipurpose liquid glue.  Adhere panel to Gray Granite folded card front.  


Apply a strip of Tear & Tape adhesive at bottom of DSP panel, adhere ribbon by pressing and folding onto  adhesive, cut. Adhere Gray Granite card to Secret Sea card base panel, centering between DSP strips, with fold at top edge.

Here's what ribbon will look like from end view:



Ink "Thinking of you today" with Secret Sea, stamp in upper inside of card.


Embellish upper area above trees with Gold Shaker Stars, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
