Greetings!
Today's card started with wanting a design that would come together quickly, so I started flipping through the 2023-2024 annual catalog for inspiration. I spied a great layout on page 72 featuring a print from the Let's Go Fishing Designer Series Papers (DSP), a couple of triangular pieces of cardstock, and a simple message.
I decided to switch it up a bit from the sample in the catalog, but still CASEd(Copy And Share Everything) it very closely. I made it a thank you card using the Phrases For All stamp set, which has a wonderful "THANK YOU"! The font is nice and big, and with the the two words stacked instead of side by side, it works perfectly in the rounded rectangle Nested Essentials die shape. I added texture to the The Night of Navy triangle with the Splatters 3D embossing folder, and used a length of the Night of Navy 3/8" bordered ribbon for an accent. I love how it all came together!
Now, I could have simply left the card like this and it would have been fine. However, whenever the card base is a dark color, I adhere a white or vanilla panel inside to write on.
I decided it needed a message, and after I stamped the inside message, I thought, hmm...I have an extra triangle piece and a little strip of the DSP print, so I'll jazz it up. I was about to adhere the triangle piece when more inspiration struck so I turned it into a little pocket to hold a gift card or cash. Voila`!
It's still a very quick and easy card! With it's no nonsense style, it's a great one to make multiples of. Select different prints and colors to have a nice variety on hand when you need a quick thank you; gift card pocket optional 😊
