Nature's Sweetness Wonderful Thoughts fun fold Wedding Card

Greetings!

Last week when I was working with my friend Dawn, we made a card using a fun fold I knew I wanted play with some more when I got home.  It's a great fun fold in that it's a fantastic way to showcase various prints from a Designer Series Paper pack.

I selected the Nature's Sweetness Designer Series Papers (DSP), and imagine my delight when I discovered the images in gold on white print are sized to be cut out with the Lovely & Sweet dies.  The prints in this DSP pack are enhanced with gold foil images and script on one side of each sheet, giving them a beautiful elegance.  Combining the elegance and imagery made it an easy choice for a wedding card.

Isn't it lovely!  The front of the card is gorgeous, and just wait until you see the inside!  The Wonderful Thoughts stamp set has the perfect message to wish the newlyweds well as they start their married life together.

This was such a fun fold to do, and I know I will be using it again.  It takes a full sheet of cardstock, which is well worth it for all the beautiful prints you can use!  Scroll down for all the directions and pictures of the cards' insides.

Here's How It's Made:

Score Pebbled Path cardstock at 5-1/2 on 11" length.  Score 2-1/8 from each edge on 8-1/2 width.  Your piece should have score lines looking like this:

Using your Paper Trimmer, cut 2-1/8 scored line from top to 5-1/2 at both sides, then turn and cut from sides to 2-1/8 line at 5-1/2.  Your remaining piece should look like this:

The top part of the above picture is the card front, and the two "wings" will fold in under the top.

Die cut largest gold plant image and lily image with corresponding dies from the DSP print:

I recommend cutting closely around each image with scissors before die cutting so you can preserve all the other images on the sheet to be used for future cards.

Adhere gold script on Pebbled Path DSP to Pebbled Path card front (this is the 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 flap that had the sides cut off).  Adhere die cut white/gold plant on front, centering.

Ink "congratulations" with Pebbled Path, stamp onto Basic White cardstock piece.  Adhere Gold Foil piece to card front 1/4" from left and bottom edges of script DSP panel.  Adhere stamped Basic White piece offset to right and up on Gold Foil as shown:

Embellish with Gold and Bronze Brushed Metallic adhesive-backed Dots.

Here's what the inside looks like:

Adhere white leaf on gold print pieces to front flaps of "wings" on bottom of card base.  (When folded in, these will be the sides you will see when you lift the card front flap up)

Adhere remaining small white on gold print to inside of "wings".  Ink "This is only the beginning..." with Pebbled Path, stamp in upper center of Basic White cardstock panel.  Adhere to inside of card.

Adhere small strip near bottom of Basic White panel, then adhere die cut lily in center.
