Greetings!
Having a large die cut message on a card is such a quick and easy way to create a card. The Wanted to Say dies offers a great selection of messages that are die cut, each in it's own font. The die set has two dies for each message so you can layer the more detailed layer onto an outline layer if you choose.
I don't have any fisher-people in my life, however, the Let's Go Fishing Designer Series Papers (DSP) include prints that aren't fishing specific in earth-tone prints, which I gravitate towards for male oriented cards. This card came together very quickly and will be perfect to send to my great-nephew for his birthday.
The star clusters are part of the Wanted to Say die set, as well as a few other accent images, which makes it very easy to embellish your card. Adding a strip of cardstock breaks up the striped background and the Bronze Brushed Metallic Dots add a fun feature to the card.
Gather Your Supplies:
- Wanted to Say dies
- Timeless Arrangements stamp set (for inside message)
- Pebbled Path cardstock
- card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2 OR 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
- Misty Moonlight cardstock
- Very Vanilla cardstock
- 3-1/4 x 2
- 4-3/4 x 3-1/2 for inside panel
- scraps for star die cut
- Wild Wheat cardstock
- 6-1/2 x 3/4
- scraps for star die cuts
- Let's Go Fishing Designer Series Paper
- 5-1/4 x 4 Pebbled Path/Vanilla diagonal stripe print
- Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin' Pad (for inside message)

Here's How It's Made:
Adhere Wild Wheat cardstock strip to diagonal stripes on DSP print by extending at top left corner, centering between stripes, following down to bottom. Flip assembled piece over and trim cardstock strip even with edges of DSP panel. Adhere to Pebbled Path folded card front, centering.
Cut a 3 x 2" piece of Adhesive Sheet, adhere to Very Vanilla cardstock, die cut detailed "Happy Birthday". Die cut outline "Happy Birthday" from Misty Moonlight cardstock. Peel adhesive backing off Very Vanilla piece and adhere to Misty Moonlight piece. Adhere to center of card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Die cut stars from Very Vanilla and Wild Wheat cardstock. Adhere to card front, angling each star cluster in a different direction. Adhere Bronze Brushed Metallic Dots on Wild Wheat cardstock strip.
Here's what the inside looks like:
Ink "Hope your day..." with Misty Moonlight, stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock panel, adhere to inside of card.
Cut a 3/4 x 3-3/4 strip of striped DSP, adhere to left side of Very Vanilla panel. Die cut stars from Wild Wheat cardstock and adhere in lower right corner of panel.
