Cheerful Daisies Delightfully Eclectic Diagonal Tri-Fold Birthday Card

 Greetings!

A few weeks ago I was demonstrating die cutting and made a large daisy from the Cheerful Daisies dies.  I have had the flower sitting out as a reminder that I wanted to make a card with it.  I recently learned a new fun fold and decided it was the perfect fold to highlight the lovely die cut daisy.

Isn't it cute!  With a single daisy large enough to hold it's own as the focal point on a fun-fold that gives you a chance to showcase a couple beautiful prints from your favorite Designer Series Paper, this card is sure to delight the recipient.

These two prints from the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper (DSP) are the perfect pair for this card.  I could have chosen a third print to be the background directly behind the daisy, however I opted to use the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder for a subtle tone on tone texture.  This diagonal tri-fold fun fold still allows room for a message on the inside of the middle section and the Very Best Occasions stamp set has just the right message to go with the "Happy Birthday" from the Go To Greetings stamp set.

Here's How It's Made:
For the card base, measure and mark at 3" from corner on opposite 8-1/2" sides, then cut as shown below:

After it is cut, score at 4-1/4 and 7-7/8 on 11" straight edge.

Emboss Basic White cardstock panel with Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder.

To create same angle as card base for the embossed panel and the two DSP panels, position them onto the corresponding section of the Basic White card base, center side to side, slide panel up leaving a 1/4" space from bottom edge of card base, hold in place, flip over, draw a line with a pencil at the top of the panel following the angle of the card base, cut at line, adhere to card base.

Adhere the Basic White embossed panel on the front, striped DSP print on inner middle and small flower print on inside back.  Your card should be folded with panels adhered to look like this:

Die cut Bubble Bath cardstock with large single daisy die.  Die cut Basic White cardstock with largest detailed inner flower die.  Die cut Cherry Cobbler cardstock with largest flower center die.  Die cut Old Olive cardstock with feathery leaf die.  Assemble flower as shown.  Adhere Old Olive feathery leaf to back of flower, then adhere assembled piece to front panel with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Ink smallest "Happy Birthday" from Go To Greetings stamp set with Bubble Bath, stamp onto Basic White cardstock.  Trim right edge at an angle, adhere below flower onto card front.

Here's what the inside looks like:

From the Very Best Occasions stamp set, ink "Sending you smiles..."  with Bubble Bath, stamp on inside of inner middle section.
